as a suggestion,,,if you are working alone and in a maybe area where you might get hung up, carry a log chain in the floor under your feet. When you get stuck, dont make it worse by spinning tracks and getting deeper. Unhitch from your cutter, unplug the hoses,,,and back out. Most times that ive been stuck, i was only stuck about 6-12 ft in a mess. Harder ground was nearby but i couldnt get there. Back out. Then with chain, hook to your implement and drag it out to solid ground, then hook up again. Lotsa times if you will take the extra weight and burden off your machine, it can drive itself out to solid ground. Saves the day for you and you can continue to get the job done,,,,good video,,,thanks

That is a great idea! I always try to be very careful about where I put the machine, but one day, I am going to get stuck. I always have chains back at the truck, but I never have one onboard with me. Thanks for watching and for the tip!

I looked pretty hard at a Rut brush cutter but ended up going with a Spartan instead. It was the only one I could find that came in 84" cut and didn't cost what a Diamond did.

We have had our Rut since December of 2020 and it has been fantastic. It does much more than I ever would have thought possible with a disc style cutter. I would still 100% recommend it!

I have one of these on order. Although I didn’t get the two speed option. Am I gonna regret that? Same scope of work
@NKLandscapingLLC
@NKLandscapingLLC Жыл бұрын
To be honest, aside from roading the machine, I rarely ever use the high range. In low range, the T66 is pretty fast to begin with, especially compared to other tracked machines. We got the 2 speed because it is a fairly common option, and figured that it wouldn’t hurt to have, but I dont think that its a huge necessity.

@@NKLandscapingLLC 10-4 I did see where a guy did a review on his single speed machine said sometimes pulling hills while fully loaded he had to slow down so the motor would watch up bc the way it was geared, that’s why I’m curious, I’m hoping I can change the order honestly!

How many hours do you have on the T66? Have you had the problem with moisture in the control boxes/connectors yet?
@NKLandscapingLLC
@NKLandscapingLLC Жыл бұрын
Our T66 has just about 500hrs on it. Havent had any issues like that yet, but we did have a few issues in the first 50hrs when we first bought it. Leaking valve cover and EGR, which was replaced under warranty, as well as an issue with the touchscreen where it would constantly reboot while the machine was running. That was fixed as well. Aside from that, my only issue with it now is that the cab leaks a lot of water, especially from the back window, and front door, which makes the interior of the cab smell pretty weird. Like I've said in previous videos, this machine is a lease and when the lease is over, we're most likely switching to Kubota.

I had Bobcat bring me out the T76 and I operated it in the rain for two days and no leaks. But I too wanted to try the Kubota and I did. Not under hi flow conditions. Ultimately I decided to go with the bigger T770 with the Blue Diamond severe duty brush cutter. Another reason I went with the 770 is that a good friend of mine has a 880 with a ton of attachments that I can rent from him. Good luck I liked the video!
@NKLandscapingLLC

It is not a huge leak that I have, but enough to make its way down to the floor and keep the floor damp, which ends up smelling after a while. I honestly do like the machine, but it does have its quirks. Ultimately I still do want to switch it out for a Kubota when our lease is up on it. Thanks for watching!

Nice work Nick. So you own the brush cutter and rent the skid steer ?
@NKLandscapingLLC
@NKLandscapingLLC Жыл бұрын
Thank you! We own the brush cutter and the skidsteer is a lease. We werent sure if we would like the Bobcat, so we opted for a 5 year lease with an opportunity for a buyout at the end. I think when the lease is up, we will most likely return it and purchase a Kubota.

Everybody would price it differently. You have to find your operating cost, figure out what you need per day and your minimum. Maintenance costs, fuel. My minimum to get to a job would be $500, my day price would be $2000 for one man one machine. Job site within 30 mins from shop. My 2 cents

I know you want a Kubota next but do you feel the T66 with hi-flo was the right "tool" for the job with this brush cutter or do you feel like you needed more HP? I have a T 66 now with standard flow but I don't think I want a bigger machine, but I do think I would benefit more to have the hi-flo. Would love your insight.
@NKLandscapingLLC
@NKLandscapingLLC 4 ай бұрын
@allthingspowersports5955 high flow is definitely necessary, no matter what machine we end up with. The high flow allows for such a faster recovery time on the brush cutter, so you can munch heavy brush and not bog down.
