Nice video it’s nice to see an actual review of a rut mfg product. I’m thinking of getting one of the brush cutters for my mine ex. Glad to see you think it’s built well.

Damn $3,700 for that model a year ago. Man how things have changed for the worst.

Thanks for making this video. I bought a new SVL65 and have been looking for a mower. I was about to buy a MTL to go with a grapple I just bought from them, but it seems like Rut makes a very good mower and your video is what got me to order the Terminator. Please keep making videos!

Thank you for your in depth review on the terminator, ive been searching for a good bush hog an your video helped narrow it down. I was just wondering if you're still happy with it an also if that is the 60 inch or 72. I might have missed it in your video if you mentioned it

I just picked up the 72" XP today for my T650. I haven't used it yet, but will this weekend. What's your opinion on it now after using it a while?

How’s the XP holding up? I’m looking for a 78-80” high flow brush cutter

Glad to see a real video of this unit running I’ve been narrowing down which unit to buy for my TL8 and this sent me the right direction. How does it do on open ground bush hogging of grass?
@SadlonCattleCompany4 жыл бұрын
The cutter does great. I only have one complaint with this unit. They did not put any type of barb wire / Vine catcher around the Hub where the blade carrier bolts. 10 hours and I had to pull the blade carrier and clean a bunch of vines that almost damaged the seal. It was a simple fix of welding some scrap pieces to blade carrier to catch anything that try's to wrap up. They need to fix that issue . Left unchecked and you will destroy the seal. My friend has an mtl and had the same issue. I believe extreme implements had a catcher on there's but not sure. I still believe this is the best bang for the buck in this price range of cutter though. I've cleared 5 acres w it and am impressed how well it has done .

Sadlon CattleCompany awesome thank you yea I was looking at this and the mtl cutters but really like the circle blade carrier and impressed with the unit for the price point gonna give them a call tomorrow about ordering one

I just ordered the Rut Gladiator in the 60”. The difference is they went back to 1 large thick plate instead of the split design and added carbide tips. I was between the 60” and 72”. I have the similar size machine. Do you wish you went a little lighter so it’s not as ‘tippy’?
@SadlonCattleCompany3 жыл бұрын
Not realy tippy on my machine all depends on what machine u have. I've done some really steep hills had no problem. Bushhogged fields w it very happy w the 72. Next size up machine would be great but can't get in subdivisions w em ..
@randallhammond96333 жыл бұрын
@@SadlonCattleCompany Why can’t you get in subdivisions with the next size up machine I’m thinking about getting a TLTNRTL 12 and just wondering why
@SadlonCattleCompany3 жыл бұрын
@@randallhammond9633 the tl12 is a huge machine i mean massive compared to a tl8. It can probly lift a tl8. Several of the jobs I have done have been really tight ,would have been a pain to squeeze in there w a 12. Im talking between house and fences stuff like that plus more damage to existing yard and drive. The smaller machine has done all I need . May take a little longer at times but there are times the 12 is just to big. My opinion everyone has one. Would be ideal to own both lol. I have dug swimming pools w the tl8 in hard red clay . There a strong little sucker. My advice would be go look at them side by side and make your decision.

How big is the deck? 72"?

Have you ever bent a blade and got it caught between the two halves of the blade carrier? I hear that it’s hell to get unlodged when that happens.
@SadlonCattleCompany3 жыл бұрын
Never happen these blades a ridiculous. And I have beat on it. Wood has jammed them be4. It get wobbly of balance. I put it in the ground and it flips the blade back out everytime.

Do you know what series the hydraulic motor is? Thank you for sharing!!
@SadlonCattleCompany3 жыл бұрын
Its a parker thats all I know. What motor you get depends on your flow rating. Call RUT they easy to talk to .

Is it a low flow Terminator XP? I see the 4 blades instead of the 3 on the Terminator.
@SadlonCattleCompany Жыл бұрын
That was low. Got a high flow 3 blade mtl cutter now with piston motor. Way better. I won't buy another rut.

@@SadlonCattleCompany Hey, what model of new cutter did you get and do you have any video of it in use to compare to the Rut? Thanks!
@SadlonCattleCompany5 ай бұрын
@@kewlstuff3715 xc7 mtl piston motor high flow. Haven't videod it but has held up great. Takes grease in the hub bearing. No worries about pissing all your oil out.
@kewlstuff37155 ай бұрын
@@SadlonCattleCompany And you would say that it is superior to the terminiator?
@SadlonCattleCompany5 ай бұрын
@@kewlstuff3715 yes best bang for your buck. The brush monster is probably the baddest on the market but there big money. If you can get a piston motor in your flow range it's worth it. Mtl offers the regular motor just like everyone else. But that piston motor is a game changer. You can't stop the cutter.

How does it do on hills?
@SadlonCattleCompany3 жыл бұрын
Going up or down hill is no problem. Went up some crazy steep stuff. Sideways my machine will throw a track easily with all the debris your running over. Have to be easy and take your time. Brushcutter paid for itself in two jobs .
@powerram923 жыл бұрын
@@SadlonCattleCompany that's good to know I been looking at those machines and looking an cutters to I might go with the next model up from yours with the same machine. Or something similar

@@powerram92 I sold my 55 horsepower tractor with 6ft bush hog. I never would have believed this skid steer would mow grass faster than the tractor. A lot of people have told me I'm an idiot for using a track skid because it's wearing out the tracks. I make sure to bid customer jobs where I'm getting at least $100 an hour. I guarantee you it's easier on those tracks running around with a mower then it is digging red clay.
@powerram923 жыл бұрын
@@SadlonCattleCompany I been using a farm tractor with a 10ft brushhog. I make pretty good money with it. I'm looking into a wheel machine with over the tire tracks an a cutter since those machines are cheaper. Just tired of doing what I can't get the the tractor by hand.
