You are making me home sick seeing the pictures of Angels for your dinner they steak pie is amazing 😋. When you come to Inverness where I live now there is a beautiful garden centre just down from site with lovely food. Also there is a bus service outside the site to take you to places if you wish.

You passed by us as we live in Perth. We went to Orkney for 2 weeks last July and loved it. Lots to see and do, though weather was cold and very windy! We don't stay in sites but found lots of places to off-grid in our campervan. Enjoy!

Have you considered joining Historic Houses to visit the places that the National Trust & English Heritage don’t cover? I think we paid £104 for joint membership so visiting places like Balmoral and a couple more you would soon recoup your fee.

I like the Tebay services but i usually end up buying some cheese and that from the farm shop. 😂It has poured down for 2 days back here still raining now but i think i prefer than the heatwaves they are getting in Europe lol, have a great time

Hello Bob and Jenny and Poppy, we thought Poppy looked rather smart but her tail does resemble that of a beaver slightly!! Hope you enjoy Scotland more than last time, you two were a bit poorly so good to see you are going back again. Orkney sounds fab, we will be interested to see what the ferry journey looks like as well as Orkney of course. I was quite seasick going over to Brittany in June so every sympathy withJenny. Took some tablets on the way back which did help although I don’t like popping strange pills. Bon Voyage! Love from Sue and Siobhan x

That bumpy piece of road beside Brechin is annoying, I always stay in the outside lane if you can. I remember it being constructed when I was a kid so it must be from the late 70’s when we travelled down from Aberdeen

@@BobEarnshawMoHo absolutely, it’s a real bone shaker. It reminds me of that joke from only fools and horses about triggers brush. He says he has had the same brush for 20 years it has only had 12 new handles and 7 new heads ! 😂. Are you still in Ballater? You might want to visit the Cambus O’May cheese shop it has a nice cafe too. I’m not sure but you might be able to use the cycle path to get there as it’s just down the road

Hi, could you possibly give me details of the netting you have on your bike rack. We have similar rack, not used it yet, got a cover from Taylormade but need to fix that. They do seem very secure but also very heavy ( we have 3 bike version). The netting looks like good option. Mike
