I have such lovely memories of being at Weymouth as a child. It's good to see the seaside in the UK being the place to go again. A tradition that should be part of every British childhood. Makes me homesick. I think of rock, Candy floss, Donkeys, and of course Punch and Judy. Happy times.

Haven't been to Weymouth for at least 50 years, watching this video took me right back. I remember the steam trains that used to run on the roads along side the harbour and the smell of cabbage that eminated from the hops fermenting in the breweries. The sand sculptures were around then but these ones look amazing. Thanks Tim.

I am Weymouth born and bred but still learnt a few things from your video that I didn’t know about like the Ghost Tunnel in the Nothe Fort. I also used to work in the Rembrandt hotel back in the 80s so glad to see it is doing well. Keep up the good work !

We've just come back from our yearly holiday in Weymouth! You just can't beat the beaches which are sandy, as you showed, gradually turning to pebble further along. I always say there's something for everyone of every age in Weymouth ☺😉

I've lived here over 25 years and this video feels like a breath of fresh air. Shame this town is only good for the summer season and many shops have left town due to the raised rents but it does still have potential and some gem moments. So many secluded beaches as well. Somewhere Cornwall next?

I live on jerrassic coast 30 min drive west of Weymouth. If you go bit further west to Charmouth you can easly find on the beach fossils of creachers that lived around 200 million years ago. So real history lol.

One of the best videos I have seen on Weymouth… such a beautiful town.. I am American but my mom was from Weymouth and my parents lived there in retirement until they passed .. so many happy childhood memories in Weymouth and my kids love Weymouth as well. In fact I think this video was filmed the last time we were there!

I went to Weymouth in the mid 70's as a teenager. I remember seeing the ferries leaving the harbour - we were opposite in the shade under trees. Love the sand sculptures, that's what Weymouth is known for. Thanks for the happy memories Tim

Great video! Spent one of my favourite summer gold in Weymouth back in 1993 and revisited with my own kids years later. Thankfully, it hadn’t changed much and still had so much to offer. Seems very much the same nearly 20 years on again ❤

I was surprised to find out that this was the first time you’ve tried scallops, seeing how much you love the seaside. They are my absolute favorite. Growing up on the coast of Southern California, I have always loved marine life, and it was so fun to see what it’s like “across the pond”. Thank you for another wonderful tour Tim! 🙂

A great video, cheers. I’ve just moved to South Somerset & still have so much to investigate. We’re actually going for a day out in Weymouth tomorrow. I’ve been to Weymouth so many times but have only ever been to the tackle shop & Chesil Beach, so it’ll make a change to have a slow wonder around the town, & seafront. The weather should be similar to your video, so looking forward to it. I’m not supposed to be fishing, but I will see if I can get my wife out on a short mackerel charter.

I live in Weymouth. Great to see such a long video. There are 3 amusements on the seafront - the one you showed, a slightly smaller one near the bus stops at the Kings statue, then a big one where you said it was kids rides (along from the Pavillion. Called the Alexandra gardens.)

I absolutely LOVE that is not overcrowded and noisy… is such a beautiful town, I’d love to visit! I saw absolutely nothing ugly in this place..like graffiti, broken down streets and buildings.. garbage and filth.. also i love how many old classic things there is around..

My dad and aunts grew up in Weymouth. One of my aunts still lives there. According to her it's been going downhill recently and she's afraid to walk alone at night at the part she lives in. But in general I think Weymouth looks amazing

We go to Weymouth a lot we used have a touring caravan now we go on coach trip actually going next weekend and the water is so safe for children you go along way out and it's still shallow I have just been to Trecco bay booked two private caravans for my children and grandchildren was a great weekend thinking I might book one for Weymouth next year 🤗🫶🌞🙏

I spent a week in Weymouth about 20 odd years ago, it's a really lovely place with probably the safest beach in the country. You can go maybe 300m out and still only be waist deep. The top of the cliffs give a wonderful view of the beach and town. That hotel looked really nice too.

I visit Weymouth 2-3 times a year & always stay in the family run blue fronted B&B`s by the harbour. Have visited all the attractions here in your video. As a child watched the Punch & Judy shows, crabbing with my late Dad. Such a beautiful place to be.

Hope you got to check out Bowleaze cove Tim. It's definitely the best place in Weymouth and out of the way, with a lovely beach, great coastal paths, the complex there has everything you need from a shop to a fairground, surrounded by country and beautiful suburbs.

I lived on the island of Portland 1967/70 ,whilst in the Royal Navy. Loved Weymouth in the summer.

Hi Tim hope you're safe on you're travels ,just watched Weymouth it's a lovely looking place loved your boat trip and seeing those lovely cluffs and Durdle door,an iconic feature there. Lovely weather for a stroll round too. Just watched Gabys coffee morning, was great chat. Had a walk as its a nice day here after all the rain, so was later to join the replay coffee morning. I came across your content a couple of days ago. Am already a fan. I like to watch personal experiences of the great outdoors. The way you describe what you see is just so endearing.
