Thanks for another great video Bo! The Minilogue is so fun to play and create new sounds on. It’s such a great keyboard for learning about synthesis. Combined with videos like yours I’m finally starting to “get it”.

The bass became living with the increased attack in my ears. Very nice video!

Yesterday i started a track and used the minilogue to sketch every sound but when it came to the main bass, even if it was good enough, i had to play it on the ms20 mini to realise that it was way thinner and less subby. I still used the minilogue for everything else because in terms of variety of sounds the minilogue is still above :) Love it !

Hmmm, I still need to get my hands on both of these...I've always felt the MS20 mini was a bass monster.

Awesome video. Thanks! This was super helpful at understanding the synth better and how the various knobs relate to one another.

Hi Bo! awesome video. You think the minilogue loses a lot for bass and lead sounds if we compare with a bass station2?
@BoBeats
@BoBeats 6 жыл бұрын
+Mateus Estrela i would say its a lot better for lead sounds than the bs2, but bs2 is much better for bass

Hey Bo! Love the tutorial. I bought your sound pack for the minilogue and I really enjoy it! I'm trying to make a patch for the song "Nangs" by Tame Impala but I haven't been too successful. Think that sound is even achievable with the minilogue?
@BoBeats
@BoBeats 6 жыл бұрын
+Derek from what I can here you should be able to do something like that yes. But my guess is that you need more than one synth to get that broad sound
@NoirEtBlancVie
@NoirEtBlancVie 6 жыл бұрын
That's a good question Derek, first off Tame Impala is mad dope. I assume you mean the opening kinda bassy, wobbly pad patch? If so I feel as if it's totally doable, though what is the mod matrix like on the minilogue? I hear the sound and I immediately say, I could do that on a DSI, but then how deep do the modulation capabilities go on the ML?
@dreamwavez
@dreamwavez 6 жыл бұрын
BoBeats - thanks for the reply! I guess you can always get close then see if you can match it in a DAW. Haven’t got that far yet :)
@dreamwavez
@dreamwavez 6 жыл бұрын
Noir Et Blanc Vie - Yeah man, Tame is great! And yes, the intro part is what I’m talking about. The monologue can be modulated in (I think) three different places. You have the VCO pitch, pitch of the cross mod, and you can mess with the LFO to get a phaser type modulation. I’m new to keys and haven’t played any other keyboard so I wouldn’t be able to rate its capabilities haha. I do think that sound is possible through the minilogue alone. Just takes time lol

Hi Bo, loved the video! Is it possible to achieve a Moog-type sound on the Minilogue, and how?
@BoBeats
@BoBeats 4 жыл бұрын
With the original Minilogue I would say: Not really, the filter doesn’t really make it sound like a Moog

Hi Bo, At first, your channel is very nice! I have q question for you. I´m using the Korg minilogue for my synth sound. Is it possible to create Pads like this in the follow Track? I mean mystical and very atmospheric pad-sounds. Maybe you can give me a hint, what´s the best way to reach the best results? My stilistic is a deep and dark techno sound.
@BoBeats
@BoBeats 5 жыл бұрын
I think you need a lot of fx to get really good pads with the minilogue. Also check my pad tutorial :-)

Bo i love your videos. I’m a guitarist so i’m a newbee In the synth world. I am hesitant between the minilogue and the monologue. Which one would you recommend ? A seller told me that the minilogue can do almost all the bass sound of the monologue in its mono voice. What is your opinion about that ? Thank you for your great work!

The Minilogue really doesn't shine on bass. I love mine for everything else, but bass isn't its forte. I need to pair it with a good bass synth, maybe the Behringer Model D or the Monologue.
