To everyone saying that criticism=hate it really doesn’t. These kids need better instruction and need to get told what to fix instead of “everything you’re doing is perfect!” Because in drumming, there’s always something that can be fixed. Nitpicking is a 100% good thing because it makes you get better. Having instruction that tells you what you’re doing good and bad is better than instruction that says everything is good and is not hate what do ever.
@captainkiwi774 жыл бұрын
If you’ve listened to the other videos you can hear/see a clear upwards trajectory in the playing ability of these students. They don’t necessarily need better instruction, we are witnessing their gradual improvement as an organization you don’t just get a good tech and suddenly the lines clean, it’s about building a culture of excellency. Furthermore for a high school not competing at the BOA upper levels, more focused around entertainment, this is pretty decent, of course it could be better but that’s not really the point of their program. They aren’t trying to win a Sanford here, just make the student section loose it’s shit
@notimpressedbyyourm49324 жыл бұрын
@@captainkiwi77 personally, I thought the older videos sounded a lot cleaner. I won’t get into nitty gritty but this was not as clean as older videos. I’m not saying their is anything wrong with this, I’m a high schooler myself who goes to a shitty show band school who’d love to have any of these kids on our line, but after being in independent ensembles, I’ve learned that if you aren’t doing band to get better, what’s the point? Yes there’s a social aspect and it should be fun, but if you aren’t getting better you won’t enjoy it at all. You’ll just think you’re stuck while everyone around you is improving. Better instruction would help with this in my opinion.
@rockfox360dirtbikes34 жыл бұрын
Ya, these kids kept speeding up. They were focusing on playing it the fastest and not the cleanest. The quads kept hitting rims and their sticks. Snares looked good but they were sloppy and not together. Over all, I think this was ok. I can’t remember what the basses sounded like in the old one but they sounded good in this one.
