Boblo Island w/ Sky Streak POV 1988

This has brought back some fond memories... I am from Livonia and dated a girl from Wyandotte and a group of us went and got 1/2 off admission the very last day it was open by bringing an empty Mountain Dew can... what the connection was I'm not sure. Normally the boat ride was from your choice of Wyandotte, Detroit or Amherstburg... but the last day was only from Amherstburg. Thank you again for the great memory.

I was trapped on the sky streak many years ago. Rain causing the brakes not to work. We went around 5 times, before they stopped us at the top of the hill. I was a kid, it was scary as hell. In retrospect, BABY RIDE! lol

sky streak had some pretty good airtime. they should have done more on that straight section of track though. its like the superman coaster lol.

It was a unique steel out-and-back that took up a lot of space. Maybe they re-designed it in Mexico.

What was wrong with the trim brake? It only closed when you opened the dispatch brake. If you were the best (like I was,) you could feather that train through the ready & dispatch brakes, smoother than a car >:) And the train would only get stuck in the horseshoe if it was breezy. LMFAO >:) There's a 1/2 second shot of the operator. I believe I know her >:)

I don't know what happened to any of the rides after Boblo was closed. I think the entire island was re-developed. Thanks for the comments.

Sky Streek now in Mexico . I remember enthusiasts cheering , hooting and howling sarcastically on that very straight piece of track . LOL

I remember it being a stifling HOT day & the wind was like a hot air dryer which didn't help . We were dying to get off Boblotraz for that reason but the boats were hours off schedule so it was like a prison .. The splashing waves on the boat ride back was the only refreshing part of the day . @@vidwilzvids9587

I just happened to see this coaster on Unsolved Mysteries (Lady in the Lake episode, Netflix series), and i have no idea who made this! It doesn't show up on Togo/Arrow Dynamics! I'm a coaster nut and it triggered me to find out who made this! I have my own unsolved mystery!
