Yes, I could have totally heard this on the "next" record. What a shame, I wish they could have at least made it through the rest of the decade and into the 90s.

this song is an undiscovered pop masterpiece and if it was on revolver by the beatles it would be canonised...kidding but only a little bit as this is a gem of a a pop song...a classic in my mind!

Criminally underrated album that even Mould seemed to walk away from. Don't think he's played anything from it in his live sets for decades, absolute shame.

I like Black Sheets. It sold 7,000 units. What did Rykodisk think of that.

Oh man, I hadn't heard this in ages. This mis sounds INCREDIBLE on good cans. From the on-the-verge-of-chaos opening/screaming guitars, to the brilliant placement of the rest of the mix. It's just a straight up rocker.

Was that Bob's "coming out" shirt declaration?
@ericschultz9203 жыл бұрын
He was playing
@roberttyner5809 Жыл бұрын
It’s an abbreviation of the University of South Carolina’s mascot, The Fighting Gamecocks”. This shirt was very popular in the 90s and would often create confused looks outside of the Palmetto State. That being said Bob Mould is one of the few artist who just keeps getting better with age.

Isn't this incredibly bang on? I bought this from Tower in L.A in the early early 90's and it rings so true right now. Talk about PROPHET, 16 times over since it came out. Apropos AF.

I can’t believe this doesn’t have more views than this! Wtf, am I on the right channel? Hello! Bob! More music! Let’s go bub, we need this now.... please? and btw, that guitar riff at the beginning is epic always tell the younger guitar plays to learn it. And when the hear it they are blown away. Just sayin...
@keithkruse693 ай бұрын
When it came out, I was totally blown away by "Black Sheets of Rain." Overdubbing is great, but when he's in concert, I'm wondering where's the other guitar player? I have a DVD of a live performance and the second player is behind the curtains. Love his music, but that's B.S.
