Those ridiculous laws about not wearing wool and linen at the same time & not eating cheese w/meat were a covenant btwn the JEWS & their god. The rest of humanity doesn’t have to ‘redeem themselves’ for whatever you clowns did to disappoint your Jewish god. Your ‘Ten Commandments’ are literally COMMON SENSE for the rest of humanity. I guess you’re so dumb that your god had to spell the tenants of common sense out for you.

I came here for the comments because I knew they would be awesome. I have friends who are hasidic so let me try to explain what you are seeing. This is called the "mitzvah dance". It occurs after most of the wedding is over. So the ceremony has taken place, they have all eaten dinner and already danced. In the Jewish faith, men and women do not mingle with each other (except for those who are very closely related) so the dancing takes place on two separate sides of a very large room separated by a room divider. The women have already all danced with the bride. Now, at the end (usually between 2 and 4 a.m.) the father, grandfather and other close Male relatives are dancing before the bride. The women ARE there watching, but it is considered immodest for them to appear on camera. And it is not a dog leash that she is holding as some pointed out. It is a fabric belt that hasidic men wear around their waists. She holds one end, and the men hold the other end because it is inappropriate for them to touch in public so this is how they connect to each other. So this is kind of like a father daughter dance... I understand that this culture is very hard for many to comprehend....but this is their tradition for hundreds of years...

That's what they told you. Charming. Did they include that the bride needed to be properly and officially deflowered just after the ceremony, no time to waste? Bride and groom are taken to a private room for a few minutes to be alone. The woman has a duty to perform, consummation of the wedding contract is required if she wants dinner. Perhaps one of the reasons Zaideh is dancing, and the Challa can't move very well.
@ragsmnm52244 жыл бұрын
@@davidh9844 Where did u get your information? That's 100 percent not accurate. I know because while I am not hasidic, I am Jewish and have been to many weddings of friends and family. They do go into a private room for a few minutes immediately after the ceremony because according to Jewish law it is not appropriate to do anything affectionate in public. Also, most religious Jews have the custom of fasting on their wedding day and spending the time leading up to the ceremony praying for a happy and successful life together. So when they go to the room you are referring to, called the Yichud room (yichud means private and alone) the bride and groom eat something and usually share their first kiss...much like "you may now kiss the bride" only in private. What goes on in the bedroom happens in the bedroom after the wedding...most couples go to a hotel or on a short honeymoon and what they do there is their business. Do most ppl consummate their marriage? Sure, but that's what wedding night is like in most cultures.

Great, I'm gonna be stuck with the melody until tomorrow lol. I love how the "lai lai" follows the father's tempo and speed. I saw it in other videos where the father is slightly older and the tempo is slower. I think it's a final acknowledgment for the father's up-bring daughter, its almost like cheering him up to not feel sad about his daughter goes to her husband. I could be going into too deep but I enjoy watching these weddings, its quite emotional.

It’s actually not far off at all, usually u have first the rebbe (rabbi) who dances then the uncles and siblings of both the bride and groom and then the father and finally the husband. Here i think its also his daughter so besides being a huge rebbe it’s also his daughter which is extra special but now to what he’s doing. He is wishing all sorts of blessings bc a marriage in this community is very much based on prayer and he is essentially praying for it all to work out and also what u were saying about him stopping his parenting it’s really beautiful

The one dancing with her is not her husband, so they use the tissue as not to touch (and thus disrespect) the bride. The dancing is to honor her and welcome her in the new family, the Jewish bride on her wedding day is considered the closest to God so it's a great honor to dance with her, it's usually the Rebbe who does, meaning the most important Rabbi in the community. Our people badly need to hear and see it, today, with all the anti-Semitic violence & murder going on. To be reminded that not all people are like that, just an evil few. And that we do have allies, that are a bit different or believe differently, but still stand for the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness for ALL PEOPLE! G-d bless! 😘😘😘😘💕💕💕💕🌈🌈🌈🌈

its very sad that the vivid jewish life culture and traditions are not present anymore in Europe...yeah Antwerp maybe? but Poland Ukraine had biig communities from what i"ve read. Its good to see that despite the mcdonald culture and consumerism of USA...each nation still maintains its own culture Respect!!

It would have been neat to experience a living shtetl or even a ghetto. There is, however, a place in Azerbaijan called Red Town (Qırmızı Qəsəbə in Azeri) that is supposedly the world's only all-Jewish town outside Israel and, I guess, Kiryas Joel in New York and is home to an old community of Mountain Jews. Could be worth a visit.

I came across some very interesting articles to read. And I did !These people were practically annihilated at one point. This alone gives some understanding as to why they exercise some practices as they do. As for the rest...I will not judge. I as well as the rest of humanity are only here for but a short time and in that time I do my best to learn and try to come to some form of understanding of our world and those that share it.That does not mean I will always agree, but it does mean I try to educate myself and show tolerance.

Esther shalom, Yeshua HaMashiach is return soon. You must Repent of your sins, be baptized and receive His Holy Spirit. Yeshua is KING of Kings & LORD of Lords, Amein. Let’s read: 1 John 2:22-29 [22] Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. [23] Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also . [24] Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. [25] And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. [26] These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. [27] But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. [28] And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. [29] If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. Time to wake up and except Yeshua HaMashiach as your LORD and Saviour, before it to late for the Whole lot of you. Ο θεός σε φοναζει και σε χρειάζεται. Φώναξε το όνομα του. Ιεσους Χριστέ! Σε αγαπάει. Your brother that cares about your Salvation Yacob

Can anybody explain: What does the "cord" mean, what does is symbolise? What does it mean when he let it fall down? The singing sounds very powerful. I know men and women celebrate not together, right? Do women have similar singing and dancing?
@Bulvan1233 жыл бұрын
The cord is because they should be dancing touching. But its immodest for a man and woman who aren't husband and wife to touch. So with the cord they're symbolically "dancing together" without actually touching. He dropped it just to be freer to dance the dropping has no meaning.
