I was at these shows and It was the most incredible shows I've ever seen. I've been to over 1000 shows. My first Grateful Dead show was in 1988 and I got to see them 19 times all across the US. 6 times at Sam Boyd Stadium outdoors in Vegas when it was 125 degrees tripping balls every night. I grew up on heavy metal and my first Dead show was like a smack in the face. Nothing else was like it! Not even close! I say, everyone is a Deadhead, they just don't know it yet. @22:15 I was stunned when you said the Beatles. The Grateful Dead's sound engineer INVENTED feedback canceling microphones. He made their own custom speakers and Bass guitar, by hand. He created the largest Soundsystem ever created in The Wall of Sound. The Beatles only copied The Dead. Pssht (~);}
