I was at the 6/14 show and sat in section 406. Visuals up there were utterly amazing! I thought the band sounded great , albeit slow. In comparison to other dead and co shows I thought Bobby's voice sounded really great that night. From up in the 400s It did seem like the band was merely an accompanying soundtrack to the "movies" we were shown. The sphere is like nothing else I've ever experienced. It was totally worth the trip! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the show.

I danced my ass off those 3 nights. 3 row back in the floor...next 3, I will maybe do one of the decks

I saw you on the floor prior to the start and thought you were Peter Shapiro for a second. Sorry for staring for a minute...LOL. Pretty spot on with the review. I had a great time, but it was definitely slow. I loved and appreciated it when John got the band all pumped up to bring up the energy to go into Bertha.

Haha. It’s funny you say that because my buddy Bill said he saw John scream at them to get it going. I missed that somehow. Thanks for reaching out!! Rock on

@@IntersectionrecordsstlNo, John was actually applauding the band after Dear Prudence. It seemed like he loved how it soumded. Bobby on another level of singing that night.

I thought Dear Prudence and China Doll were two of the highlights of the night. Also really like New Speedway Boogie and Cold Rain and Snow. Just goes to show.....

Totally agree. Each to their own. The beauty is in the dynamics for me. I don't want high energy songs all night, or I'd go to a dance club. Besides Bob is coming up on 77, and Mickey is 80. They are doing amazing at their age. For me, every time Dead And Company are playing...it's a blessing.

I know you were originally a pass on The Sphere. I did not go. Sounds like The Sphere is a marquee destination for America now. So cool. Sounds like the band is plagued with some of the same problems. I have lots of thoughts, but I'll just say I find myself always telling people (that know I'm a fan) that this is NOT the band I fell in love with in the late 80s in MANY ways. Love the tunes, but this thing (this band) isn't really my thing right now and that's ok.
