This place was impactful on life. I will never forget watching Gwar from the cat walks and seeing HR from bad brains standing on the flat. What a great era of skateboarding. Seeing Jay Henry skate fast as f.. for the first time and being a gromm from the south end of the state. I still skate and live in Colorado.

Fuk yeah!!!! A couple weeks perhaps this summer 88, my buddy and I “worked there” for a couple weekends if I recall properly, open and kool-aid was the gig ;-) I just drove by there yesterday as now it’s big homes and Fairfax National GC I believe. I just remember back then, driving down the gravel road, hand out the window and thorn bushes. 😬.

Thanks for posting this Bob. You once were very cool to a bunch of groms that showed up at the crest for the first time one late afternoon in 87. Groholski was also there that afternoon. Would love to hear the actual audio from this video! :-)

Definitely cool footage I have quite a bit of footage also before the catwalks went in.... And there I am standing in my Stussy shorts on the far side deck.... We were just starting to build the first iteration of the Butt in Manassas😮
