i love the little details, how you’re so prepared, back of old sand paper to mix epoxy, cloth to help you hold the spoon with out hurting while you quickly screw it in… no one notices the little things and wonders why they fail… because you learn the little things through failure. if you pay attention.

That bocote wood is stunning. I have one of your purple heartwood coffee scoops. I gives me pleasure every single time I handle it. Using a thing of natural beauty, handmade by a real person rather than stamped out by a machine, enhances the experience a hundredfold.

Ive just made a derby cane handle with this stuff. It still had a hint of the sapwood on the edge, so its ended up with a 2 nice spots of it on the back and front tips. The wood is absolutely stunning! 2nd only to cocobolo, from my personal experience. Ive worked with a few rosewoods now and bocote is the only one ive found to mess my throat and nose up. I actually had blood filled gunge coming up. Definitely use a mask for this stuff.
