Bodacious will be remembered as being the toughest,hardest most athletic bull in the game. Not many rode him. He wasn't mean and nasty to his riders like others and he really loved to show his stuff and strut it on stage. He was just a great all round bull wh O knew what he had to do and loved it.

I love Bodacious! He’s not mean for if he was, he would have left a trail of death in his wake. He is just extremely big, but the way he moves is like he is making deliberate moves with each and every muscle group on his body. He doesn’t just Buck up and down or in circles. He can shimmy and shake like the #DallasCowboyCheerleadears !! He can swirl like a tornado, and leap out of the gate like he’s gonna run hurdles while the entire 8seconds if anyone makes it that long he puts all of these moves into his Buck-Offs!! He was beautiful. I remember watching him back in the early 90s. I’ve seen mean bulls in the finals. They go after a guy and don’t give up until one of them are no longer moving. Not Bodacious. He was just a superb athlete.

@suestaley8443 жыл бұрын
I've watched this guy a number of times on video. For those who saw him in action- it seemed to me he played with the cowboy's timing. Came out of the chute with a huge buck, then he would throw in a little skipping crow hop before launching that second big jump that knocked the riders out. Was it just the power of the jump or did he really learn to get the Cowboys out of sync with the little hop, so they were leaning forward when he made the second launch?
@Matt_Bright_19833 жыл бұрын
It was a combination of his size and his bucking style. Being as big and athletic as he was, he had a tremendous amount of power. That by itself is enough to give guys trouble riding. Then you combine that with the little extra hop he would throw in and that's how he got them. When you're riding, you use the momentum of the animal to propel yourself forward and out over the front of the animal as he comes off the ground with his front feet, similar to how jumping horse riders will "post" out over their horse as it jumps. Bo would take that little hop in between the big jumps which would cost you all of your forward momentum and then follow it up with another big leap. Since you weren't as able to get out over that front end, it would force you backwards as the g forces pushed on your body. Once your riding arm got straight, the only two choices were for your hand to come out of the rope or for you to get pulled straight forward and down. That's what led to a lot of guys getting whacked in the face by this one. I was too young for Bodacious, as I didn't turn pro until 2005. I'm thoroughly glad that I was though, because I was young, dumb, and arrogant enough that I would have tried him 🤣
