Ayyyyyyeeee. Looks like a great disc in that it doesn't move too much side to side. However, I'm one of those guys who doesn't currently throw anything over a 9 speed myself. Still only throwing about 300-325 bh and 250-270 forehand. Great to see Big Tony out there again. My Vessi shoes should be arriving in the next 2 days. Woohoo!

If you're throwing over 320 with a 9 speed I suggest getting a driver. You'll probably pick up at least 25 ft

I throw 300-325 with fairways and 350-375 with drivers. Get some thicker rims in your life.

@@skyesprofessional5ho740 Honestly, I'm throwing the furthest consistently and controlled w/a 6.5 speed- the Axiom Crave, but I do sometimes crush the Bodanza Sphinx out there about 340-350, but not as controlled. I have thrown a Lat. 64 Diamond 368 once, and I have thrown some 11 speeds (Lat 64 Grace and MVP Zenith) but not as far as the 6.5-9 speeds. 🤷🏻‍♂

Bud, you are the man, you the man, you the man. Que up that song 🎵 🙌 You're probably the best reviewer of discs. Is my arm close to yours ?! No, but you actually show scaled down power, throw the disc more than once, and usually have case use of the disc on a course. I recently got an inside view of thd crap you disc golfers go through for a shot at going pro and just wanted to say, I see you out there. Putting that grind in, keeping it as positive as need be. My little info nugget here: A slower version that's beginner friendly is the road runner. It's a 9 speed with 5 glide and -4 turn. It's more forgiving at slower speeds than a high-speed distance driver that's thrown under power. I honestly like the rim feel it's kind of buldged like a krait and feels great for forehand. Luckily, it's not a pro endorsed mold, so it's modestly priced.

Excellent video. Biggest takeaway for me has nothing to do with the discs. It was more a glimpse behind the curtain when he mentions that he usually throws with 1300-1500 rpms. That plays a huge difference in distance and shot shaping. I max out at about 950 when I'm deliberate but probably more in the 850 range normally.

I have a question about throwing left-handed. Yourself and it seems some of the pros seem to learn how to throw left-handed. Is this for some kind of insurance in case you injure yourself, just for fun or is there some sort of teaching aid that throwing left-handed helps you learn how to throw better with right hand?

Hey, another lefty here. The pros almost never uses the left hand, unless they are very injured (like Eagle Mcmahon before this season). They normally just use it to wait and let their dominant arm heal. Hope this helps

I have a noodle arm and could never throw a normal destroyer. At a league bag swap night I got to try a 139g destroyer and it does work for my tiny arms.

Looking at mine, I really think it's not so much a bead, as it's the under rim cutting into the the top. I say this as mine is no more blunt than any other Innova driver I have.

I tried the Racer and didn’t really care for it. There are discs out there with the same flight characteristics but more glide. Mine didn’t glide well at all. I ld much rather throw my Strive.

Maybe calling discs "Neutral" instead of "Stable" will help people differentiate between a disc that wants to "turn" right and a disc that wants to "drift" right? Neutral in my mind means it will carry forward more but still have that bite at the end.

Such an odd mold but maybe someone will like it, personally id just like them to improve their current stock molds. There’s a reason everyone wants to throw PFN and CE stuff. New innova has taken a step back from quality in the interest of variety. Give me a stock flat topped firebird! Or make DX higher quality than a Gatorade bottle, lol

Surprisingly no! They were fully dry, a little splash on the skin above the shoe. but since it's more sock like, unless you submerge fully past the top of the sock part of the upper, little splashes didn't do anything. Probably would've if splashed over and wasn't wearing the high tops though since they don't have the sock part wrapping the ankle

Distance drivers start at 10 speed. So a 9 speed like a firebird is still a fairway driver. Just so you know rookie. 😉
