I Almost Knocked Myself Out Installing Suspension on my Acura TL

Oh man, I just scrapped my 2004 Acura TL with a six speed manual swap with the matching engine harness, a set of K-tuned coilovers, an Invidia single in, dual out exhaust, a billet shifter box, a 2007 TL Type-S manual ECU, Hondata FlashPro, it had a set of JNC 001s 17x8 and 17x9s +20 with 225/50/17s on it, it had an AEM 340 LPH fuel pump, a custom-built turbo kit with a Garrett GTS3582 turbo, and I spent SO much time working on it only for it to let me down many times. I worked on that thing so many times just to keep it going and it was a Reconditioned title, but I loved that car. It had 225k miles on it and it ran like a top, but the electronics let me down in the long run. I bought a newer BMW instead. I just bought a set of 18x9.5 M3 rims for it.

I really liked this generation. Getting rid of the moldings and giving it the BodePaint is going to make it look sweet. I like the wheels, stance, it's a car with big reflective facets.

Btw, my 04 TL was the gray color with the same black interior. I paid $600 for it, the auto trans crapped the bed, so I manual swapped it because I had everything to do it, and I scrapped it in the end.

I just bought a 2006 Acura TL Base... original owner had 20in rims... bend and tore up both front fenders. Not sure what suspension he has on it but i swapped the 20in rims (which had 3 different tire sizes between the 4 rims) but now ive got 4 matching tire sizes on 4 18in rims. Looking to get some good coilovers... did you end up using the camber plate adjuster on the front or purchase an aftermarket? I got the high camber kit for the rear (didnt get the toe camber kit for the rear yet) debating on which coilover to get too. Looking at the Tein Street Flex Coilovers. Ill need new fender for sure since the previous owner murdered the current ones :( but for 1200, it came with a solid motor and almost brand new transmission which my buddy pulled and was impressed (although he still thinks i should of gotten a pick up truck... good ol Florida boys) lol cant wait to see the finished product of your car!

The stance of the TL looks so much better with the new suspension and spacers, this is how the car should have been out of the factory. You were lucky you didn't loose some teeth or worse Adam but I'm pleased you are ok👍John UK.

They are perfect for the car. It keeps a lot of the driving feeling great. It’s not to stiff. It’s perfect for what the car is. I drive it every day with my kid and it’s a great choice for suspension

Wheel spacers... Unless you have flat lug nuts you really don't need hub centric anything. Very minimal contact is made with the center bore of your rim. It is nice to have hub centric whatever simply because it makes putting your wheels on easier but is by no means necessary.
