Awesome little trick that, will have to try it next time I have to do the rears on one of these things. A good video on the fronts wold be great due to the bearing seizing to the hub, I usually end up either smashing the disc or hub depending on what needs replacing, probably end up damaging the bearing somehow but never had one come back with bearing noise after.

Yes mate they are a nightmare depends how bad they are I just normally replace everything a lot easier for the customer can't come back but just leads to more money bad design

@@bodgitandleggitgarage Yea I get ya about the more money for the customer, some of them just don't want to pay or don't get why you have to replace the bearing too. Bit of copper grease always makes the next guys life a lot better, it's a very nice surprise when the bearing falls off the hub with no effort, "Thank f**k the previous guy thought of me" comes to mind :)

very good I had three snapped studs on wheel (they snapped unscrewing them) so couldnt use that method but I know just how tough to split the hub is. in order to replace studs and for good measure, ford gave me wrong studs way to short, so need to do again. thanks good videos

LOL Im not the only one working with one hand. Genius minds think alike. I do a similar technique with hubs and some transmission parts. The only difference is I use anti-seize on the threads while doing it.

Great tip,transit front discs such an arse to change. The worst is when one of the torx screws (T55?) Will not come undone and needs drilling out.

There was nothing wrong with discs that fitted over the hub and came off easy over the wheel studs? Could change discs and pads in half an hour. Can't EE the benefits of this system? Shit design. You doing another Christmas video ? Last years collaboration was pretty awesome and brought a smile.
