Incredible!!!! I have been an Irish dancer all my life, and the hard shoe rhythms were what stirred my soul. Now, I have found another love for the bodhran, and dug up my brother's unused bodhran from our wall. I am using your video lessons to teach myself (and maybe even dance too!). I have really enjoyed your lessons, and after watching this, I can't believe I'm learning from such a talented player!! You are a really fantastic player...and thanks for all that you are doing!!

I am a very new bodhran player and your videos are totally inspiring! I am working on the Mother of all Jigs at 60-80 bpm for now, trying to be more precise before getting carried away with faster. Love the repetition and the way your videos are structured to offer benefit to beginner as well the the experienced player. You are letting me see what is possible without being totally intimidating. Thank you so much for the You Tube lessons!

Since all my family are Irish and my dad and his kids (me) are the only ones of the family to be living here in Liverpool, I'm embracing my Irish blood and i'm getting my first bodhran on friday. I'm so excited to watch all of your videos Michelle again and actually be able to practise on an actual bodhran. Love your videos!

I'm second generation Irish American and we are going to Ireland in May 2014. Always loved Irish music and the Bodhran in particular. I have a cheapo on order, and will hopefully progress to a better one after doing all your KZbin lessons and a LOT of practicing. Thanks for your lessons. Maybe I can prove that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

I've had my bodhran for a little over a month now and I have been watching your video's on the computer then going home to practice. I went to an SCA event last weekend and the people there who have been playing professionally as well as for fun complimented my technique. I just though that was really cool and I love your video's!

Your demonstration is excellent & inspiring! My 12 y/o son Nathaniel just received his new bodhran a couple weeks ago. Now he'll have to learn how to play as good as you! He's already a significant part of our family band - singing & featured on washboard (we're based in the Missouri Ozarks). Blessed again w/a family scholarship, we're Going to Midlothian, TX in Oct to attend O'Flaherty's Irish Music Retreat! Nathaniel will take the bodhran workshop. Hope to get to hear you live someday. Thx!

I love Irish music especially when there is good drumming! It's amazing what rhythms and tones can be played on a bodhran with only one stick. I had never seen nor heard a brush stick before this video. If I were playing, I'd look for excuses to put a brush in occasionally!

Thank you Michelle, I am a 64 year old man who has loved the beat and sound of the Bodhran all of my life. I have this souvenir , a toy really and have been trying to follow your beginners lessons with some difficulty....I think more due to the size of the bodhran and stick..8" & 6" respectively. Still, I feel I am making progress. Could you recommend a size, make and relative price I should be looking for for my first real Bodhran? I think I may have finally found my instrument as I am a frustrated banjo player having lost an index (no Excuse really) finger on my fret hand. So this may be my last real foray into a dream of kicking up my heels vat a Cieli down the road. Sorry this is so wordy....hope you gave a second to reply. If not ..God Bless You, you have inspired a not too terribly old guy! Slainte, Chris Larsen
