terrible tragedy, imagine what these poor people (kind loving young people at a music festival, mostly hippies, just kind people) went through, worse than any nightmare. May the Light shine on these victims and their families

The newscaster kept interrupting this father's heartfelt comments and I thought that was rather rude.

Yes, the shiny, happy newscaster comes across as a cartoon. He has no clue about a father’s pain, and that is so obvious.

Why did you cut the father off when he was talking? Why bother interviewing the families that are heartbroken if you don’t let them speak without interruption? To the father whose daughter was murdered on the 07/10, “ My heartfelt condolences to your family, Sir. I pray that God will give you the comfort and strength you need right now. Please know, the Jewish people are loved and respected by many of us around the world.🌻

I’m truly sorry for these families losses. The headline reads “Hamas hostages” when these people are Israelis who were hostages of Hamas. It’s deeply disturbing, NewsNation, in my personal opinion.

The father is talking about the hostages taken by the Hamas on October 7 from an international music concert. The father said among the 125 people still held by Hamas are 10 American citizens.

Listen this is very tragic and sad and I feel for the girl and horror she had to endure and the insurmountable pain this family has to live with each and every day but another 20,000 children and their extended families have also been through and are still experiencing this still every single day and I feel that too. I would also like the world to know those people as well because ALL of it is horrifying!!

Utterly tragic - these families will never be the same. Bibi failed to keep his citizens safe. That is the #1 duty of any leader. Reports say he was warned, but that can be adjudicated later with his other indictments. Moreover, he knew Hamas would not keep Palestinian citizens safe. Those two facts surpass any other moral argument.

So, a country is not allowed to defend itself after a murderous attack and mass kidnapping of its people, just because it knows the government of the other side will not keep its civilians safe? The safety of civilians in Gaza is the Gazan government's responsibility, not the responsibility of Israel.
@danmayberry1185

@@KathyPrendergast-cu5ci No, a country is not allowed to do that. It's a war crime. On May 8, the UN published data showing 34,844 people in Gaza had been killed, including 4,959 women and 7,797 children. Gaza is less than half the size of Disney World. It's unforgivable that Hamas killed 1,200 on Oct 7 and took hostages. It is a terrorist organization, and behaves like one. Israel is not, and should not behave like one.

Absolutely gut wrenching to hear about her death. We know the IDF killed two hostages earlier in the war. Whether by accident or intentionally. Who's to say who gets killed by which side now.
@KathyPrendergast-cu5ci
@KathyPrendergast-cu5ci 4 ай бұрын
They accidentally killed three hostages in Gaza who had escaped their captors, back in December. Why would you think they killed their own people "deliberately"? And it's a known fact that Shani Louk was killed by Hamas in Israel on Oct. 7th. They found forensic evidence proving it, a piece of her skull left on the site after she was shot in the head, and there was also the live-streamed video Hamas released that day, of them parading her deceased body through the streets of Gaza.

@@KathyPrendergast-cu5ciWell IDF did deploy helicopters to the festival. Many of the Israelis and others burned beyond recognition is due to Israeli helicopter attacks to supposedly fight hamas. There has been peace deals where Israelis will be released as Israel will release Palestinians which are at least 10000 in Israeli jails. They have left prisoners tied up which cut off blood circulation and caused hands and feet to be amputated. Bibi wants this war as he is gone once it is over. He has to escalate as protestors have been protesting and asking for his removal much longer than October 2023. He also tanked the peace negotiations in 2000 with Arafat. He looks normal because he has even worse right wing terrorists in his government.

jews believe in the pagan GOD? they worship the sun GOD towards the east of the western wall? Ezekiel 8:15-16 15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. 16 And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

Two states. Return settlement land. All need equal lives.
@KathyPrendergast-cu5ci
@KathyPrendergast-cu5ci 4 ай бұрын
The "Palestinian" Arabs don't want a two state solution. They've turned down the offer of their own state six times since 1947. The 1947 offer would have given them the same amount of land as Israel: all of what came to be called the West Bank, all of Gaza, with a land strip connecting the two, plus additional territory along the Egyptian border. "Return settlement land" is a moot point; it was never Arab land to begin with, because they'd rejected the offer to make it part of their state.

It’s not his land. It belongs to the people of Gaza, it was stolen, and they were herded into a concentration camp 76 years ago. 😐
@KathyPrendergast-cu5ci
@KathyPrendergast-cu5ci 4 ай бұрын
It is his land; it is Israel's land. Take it up with the UN if you don't like it, but international law says it is, and has said so since Israel was recognized as a nation in 1948. Its land never belonged to the people of Gaza, most of whom are in fact Egyptian in origin and were economic migrants to the land of Israel no earlier than 1920. Technically and legally all the land actually belonged to Britain, as it had belonged to he Ottoman Turks before 1918, and the British gave it to the Jews for their state. The Arabs of Gaza descend either from people who had been living there already when the 1948 war broke out, people who moved there from Egypt after 1948 when Egypt occupied it, or Arabs who fled Israel before the war, or were expelled after the war. They were expelled for state security reasons because they had supported the Arab war against the Jews; they would have been allowed to stay if they hadn't done that. Over 100,000 Arabs who took no part in the war did stay in Israel, became citizens, and their descendants make up nearly 20% of Israeli citizens today.
