Just ordered the bodyboss book after buying the bodyboss gym. What a great motivator this woman is. “Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t....do 3 circuits, finish the circuit, do it exactly lke the model” etc. that’s what I need. I won’t go to a gym because I’m embarrassed. I’m shirt and much too long heVy. I actually LOOK like I need a gym and that’s why I can’t go in. Hopefully, this will work for me and I will get motivated and help myself

I've just started this this week. I can only do one cycle of the exercise too! Some of the stretches before, I can't do at all. I just adapt it. I'm 58yrs and have severe osteoarthritis in both hips. I have noticed a huge improvement in my flexibility already, and I'm a keen swimmer so it's all coming together. I absolutely love this programme. I'm not disappointed about anything and is exactly as I imagined! . No programme would advocate exercise everyday, as you need recovery. If I can do it, anyone can.

I purchased bodyboss back in March. I managed up to week 5 plus Pre-training. I didn't lose much weight but did tone up a lot. Was so happy with the results despite only doing the 3 workouts a week and some modifying. Felt great after. My stamina was seriously improved and technique developed over time. Mental health improved dramatically too.haven't been doing it since may but after finding your vlog I'm re-enthused to start it again! Well done. Love to see a video of current weeks progress. #youcandothis #bodyboss 😊

Into week 1 of the full program and absolutely loving it! What a huge change over the 4 weeks pre-training in my fitness and core strength. 90 leg lifts - never thought it possible but one of my favourites now! My challenge is still press-ups... if I can even do "10" normal press ups by the end of the program I will be happy :)

I think you have summed up how I feel about the program completely. I try not to beat myself up either and if I cant do a certain move I switch it for something else that I can do. I feel like they don't take into consideration that overweight people like myself have a little trouble doing certain moves the way they can. I still try tho, I still try.

LovelyGirlReads I think all we can do is try. I'm into week 3 now and there are a few exercises that I just can't do! I just modify them as best I can and carry on. The main thing is not to give up. It sounds like you are doing really well. Please keep me posted on your progress. X

I’m in the second week of the actual program, this program kicks your butt! I did do the 4 weeks of the pre training and I’m glad I did, my very first workout I couldn’t even make it through the first set hahaa just keep on pushing yourself and do as many reps as you can and you WILL feel yourself get stronger. I agree with the time thing though 😑

After watching your video and many others I decided to purchase BodyBoss program (fitness+nutrition). After two months of no-training-at-all, on Monday I started the pre-training weeks. I managed to do the circuit twice as written, but the day after my whole body hurt and I walked like a robot! So I chose to do a bit of yoga to stretch my sore muscles, but today they were still refusing to work! I completed today's circuit with some variations because it was truly challenging. I hope my body will respond better to the next days of exercise. I can't wait to see the results!

I have the program and about to start week 4 of the pre training. I think I 'm going to repeat the pre training until I can do the full program before moving on. The first two weeks my body was in utter pain. I've begun doing longer stretches after and that helps. Your review is very helpful for those on the fence. Its worth it IMO but unless you're fit, you will struggle.

Thank you for giving so much information! I am doing this program as well, i decided to start over the pre-training because i missed a week (my own fault). I have been loving the program though. I usually give my self about a minute per exercise, i am not sure if i should do that, but i like how the math for it works out. There are seven different exercise moves per day usually that all should be done in seven minutes, so i make it easy on myself and break it down that way to make sure i am getting them done in proper time. When i first started out i struggled with the time and movements too, but i can see myself getting faster and stronger and that is a big deal for me! I am glad you are sticking with this program! I look forward to seeing your progress as well!

I tried doing week1, day1 of the program last night (after doing the pretraining for 4 weeks) and I managed to get through all 3 circuts. But I was limping along at the end. The program said it the main part would be 21 minutes but it took me 30. I haven't seen any weight loss yet - perhaps you can talk about your journey with inches and stuff on a future video. Or even show videos of you doing some of the moves. I cracked up and seeing the brief frame of you doing the glute lifts with the cat on your back. Lol

Meg Jordan well done for doing it three times, it's a killer isn't it!! I'll do an update in the next week or so where I'll show some more of the moves and brave a body update. I’m on the fence but enjoyed your honest review. I am at a point where exercise and motivation has vanished from my life so I need a kick up the arse. I think BodyBoss might be the way forward but I’m very unfit. Would you say it’s an option to do the 4 week pre-training mostly modified to suit then repeat the 4week pre-training with less/no modifications as I would naturally be getting fitter?
@NavyGirlTreking104 жыл бұрын
I have not tried this system, but have some experience in over coming injury and gaining strength. I would say that following the program modified at first, will benefit you, because any exercising is better than nothing. To be honest, with a little research you can create a personal workout for free and using food apps like Myfitness pal you can gain confidence and knowledge for free. The Key is a total approach, meaning learn about the muscle building and nutrition and how your body works. Finding your TDEE (there are free calculators) and adjusting you calorie intake from there will help a lot. I used Bodybuilding.com (my bodyspace, for support), Myfitness Pal, a Fitbit and food logging to lose 85 lbs in 8 months. It was a gradual process in which I research nutrition, built workouts each week for myself. In the end you will be educated and know how to tweak your workouts and eating habits through any plateau. I hit a plateau for two week and had a friend look at my macros and found that I needed to literally eat a potato. I added 200 calories to my diet each day and kept my workouts normal and lost about 8 lbs in a week (I was working out twice a day, 5 days a week). You build up to it and you have to keep challenging yourself, educating yourself. In the end these programs create a muscle memory to build from and you have to keep building from it and move beyond it. You are worth the time that you dedicate to yourself. I do suggest that you take day one pictures, as those will be the most valuable as far as motivation.

Firstly CONGRATULATIONS...losing 4 stone must have taken incredible courage and determination! I know it is a while since you posted this video, but I have just purchased BodyBoss without realising the equipment needed. I was just wondering if you have any ideas on what I could substitute for things like the bench (for push ups on incline, tricep dips, bench hops, etc) and the step (for running step ups, box jumps, ski moguls with box jump, etc) as I am struggling to find substitutes and would not like to spend more money purchasing expensive equiptment. Thanks!

Is equipment needed* for this program?? Somewhere I saw that freehand weights were needed/suggested. Thank you for your review--it is most helpful! :D
@cinemabizarreromeo5 жыл бұрын
Hi! I just started with the Pre-training part of the program. But you'll need some simple stuff like 0.5 to 2kg weights, jumping rope... Some are a bit trickier like a bench and a box to jump on... But from what I've seen on the group, you can easily used other stuff: like a chair for the triceps dip, an imaginary jumping rope or bottle of water for the weights. For the box (it's in the main program so I'm not quite there yet), if you have a small stool that you can use, then use that :)

May I just say that if you really want to exercise, workout and if you're going to invest/buy exercise equipment, you should be prepared to set aside at least 1 hour. That's pretty average. Many people typically workout 1-1/2 or 2 hours. There are no shortcuts, you're just either going to disappoint yourself or hurt yourself. If you want to gain benefits, be ready to spend at least 1-hours. Yes, warm-up alone will take 10 minutes...at least.

The Midway Vlogs Okay, thanks for being honest. Its easy to be so motivated at the beginning and then get busy or tired and let things slide. I'm still like that now with running - I go through phases. I actually bought the programme after a day or so of umming and ahhing because your reviews are by far the best ones I've found so far and they gave me a really good idea what to expect. I started on the pre-training as I am not used to intensive exercise. I'm definitely going to me modifying some moves because I can't do tricep dips at all. I think if you need to do that or do a week twice to keep with things then that's okay. We're all going to have different strengths and weaknesses. Look forward to your update video later on :)
@SallyOddy7 жыл бұрын
Lori Wilson Thank you. I totally agree. Rather than being rigid and then beating myself up if I falter I'm seeing it as a long term lifestyle change so may go through phases with it but that's ok. As long as I do keep going back and 'on' weeks outweigh 'Off' x

This was a really useful video. I will definitely be buying the BodyBoss book as I want to lose Weight. It was funny seeing your cat sitting on top of your butt - it was as if it was trying to be your weights 😂

Great review!! Quick question - does the online version count out the sessions for you or do you still need a timer? Thanks!! Keep up the good work!

Was you paid to give this review? I’m just aware that some reviews are sponsored, the company I work for used someone on KZbin to push product.

I am disappointed about Body boss and would not recommend it. The whole concept is great , nice videos and great books. But I completely do not understand while do you run the workouts completely without any instructions. Your instructors are just pretty faces and do not encourage, talk about technique of the expercisis ....unfortunately it not enough to have it in the book....

I found a really good review of Bodyboss on Google (I just searched " *Literateowl Bodyboss* " and after hearing all the negatives and the review even including a better/cheaper alternative and progress pics, I'm torn between the two programs. Has anyone else read that review? Which program did you decide to use?

Can you do this in the latr afternoon like 3 or 4? I can't do it in the mornings. Thank you

There’s no point training unless you can work out an hour a day first thing in the morning before breakfast with resistance training. I keep it to 3 days a week with 1 day in between for rest. If you don’t have money or equipment all you need is Hindu Squats (start with 50), and Hindu push ups (start with 20). A good book to get is: “Combat Conditioning”,by champion wrestler Matt Furey. I’ve trained huge guys who bench 250 in the gym but cannot do 20 reps on Hindu Push-ups. Hindu Squats and Push ups make you very strong after a few weeks. It also stretches you out completely, and is very good for your lungs and cardiovascular system. Anyway, I want to try this Body Boss as well.

I tried to purchase this program online today, and my PayPal account was halted because the payment was coming through Singapore? Did anybody else run into this? Was I at a hoax site or look-alike site?
