A woman was on her phone, driving on a SUSPENDED license(2nd time in 6 weeks she'd been cited for driving on a suspended license). Caused a major 3 car crash on the freeway, knocking my husband in his car into the path of a semi, as well as a car with 2 girls in it. My husband was able to limp his car out of the way, but the semi driver had to lock his brakes to keep from hitting the girls, who were injured in the accident. She also almost hit the man who had pulled over onto the shoulder and gotten out of his car because of car trouble. When you looked at the skid marks, you could see that she wasn't even in the same lane as they were. I have a feeling she was actually texting on her phone, someone in front of her slowed because of the cars on the shoulder, she was caught unaware and crossed over 3 lanes of traffic onto the shoulder, causing a major accident that totalled all the cars involved. I'm so thankful my husband and the 2 girls weren't killed. Then, the woman who caused the accident had the audacity to play the victim.

They could not perform a sobriety test on her because of her condition (they need that evidence to proceed in court). They can't just assume someone is under the influence, it could be a medical condition. What has happened since then is there was a blood draw done but it took days to get the results. When the results came in (she was high on a number of substances), she was picked up and placed under arrest. I believe she is now on no bond since 2 lives were taken when she was recklessly driving under the influence.
