One thing I’ve learned from watching body cam footage is that the officers need a remote control for their sirens to shut it off when they are outside of their vehicles. For everyone saying the officer didn’t have to shoot the driver, look up the video that happened yesterday down around Tampa, they where called to home by a mom for her son who was acting strange and she was scared, when police got there he was in his car and left, he went down to the end of the road came back at full speed and hit 2 of the deputies, they would have been within there right to open fire on him but they couldn’t thankfully there where 2 other officers there who tased him twice when he got out and started walking towards them Point being during these tense interactions we cannot blame these cops for their actions , they are there to stop the immediate threat because they don’t know what that person in the drivers seat will do next, they have already ran from them! None of us know what we would do in that situation!

That woman had twice the amount of methamphetamine in her system than most normal addicts. She was being so irrational that even when she was under the threat of being shot she tried to run him over anyway so obviously she doesn't care about hers or anyone else's life . If you were a peace officer with your reasoning trying to hit the window with a baton or shooting out tires which is pretty ineffective your family would have been making funeral plans I'm sorry to say. You are right this didn't have to happen but the blame falls on her. The reason they shoot so many times is because if she would have only been shot once or twice she would have become even more irrational and dangerous in trying to harm the officer. Is this sad hell yes it is it was totally preventable but you have to place blame on the person that could have prevented this from happening and she alone was in charge of that decision all she had to do is stop. Oh my god I'm in shock that the police shot this woman to start with and didn't even try to help her afterwards I understand she ran and was wanted but does that qualify for death and the way all the police just stood around smoking and dipping tobacco like they all just had satisfying sex plus it's questionable whether or not she was trying to hit/run over the police that shot her? but we'll never know the truth

Exactly. My only issue with this entire thing is them not breaking the glass and checking to see if she was still alive. What if she needed CPR or a tourniquet and could've been saved? Instead, they stood around BS'ing and assumed she died. Unless I missed something, I just don't get the actions afterwards. Around the 24 minute mark he finally tells the sergeant that her car is still running. WTH? Yes, she should've stopped. Yes, the shooting was justified. The rest of it needs an explanation.

Let me fill in the blanks if anyone else is curious … Cocke County deputies were trying to locate 36-year-old Whitney Leanne Fox for outstanding felony warrants, including drug charges, violating probation a second time, and failure to appear. She had eluded capture for eight months. She also had her driving privileges suspended and the vehicle she was driving was not registered to her. Allen said the tag numbers also did not match the vehicle. And the rest is history.
