I have built 8 Revell 5 window kits over the last 2 years and have done a lot of the same things you have done here as well. I also chop the tops too. When I have done the seats I do the same as you in regards to the bottom of the seat but when I do the top of the seat you will notice there is a line near the top that lines up with the side panels. I cut following that line to remove the top edge, then take the same amount as you took off the bottom of the seat off the lower part of the cutoff piece then glue the top back on. You will have to trim the edge a little to sit on side panels. Love the solution for dropping the rear. I will be building my 9th kit soon and will be using your technique for the rear end. 👍🇨🇦

I cut the radiator at the top, saving the upper and lower radiator hose locations. Remove the upper tank/reservoir section, then remove the required material(in this build, it would be 6mm) from the upper portion of the radiator itself. Then glue the upper tank back on the radiator.

That’s called Channeling .... not body drop . Think old school Chop, Channel & Section
