Sure thing, even with pro bodybuilding competition, no one would measure your bf% to make your place, there's only weighing requirements, no bf% thing.

Absolutely hilarious. Once, I jumped on those magnetic devices: 14.3%. A month later, with 3 kg less (same scale, same hour of the day), I repeated the measurement on the very same device: 15.7%.

Dude fucking same when i just started training that stupid thing told me i was 14% i gained muscle and a bit of fat and it went to 16%i thought oh well that seems reasonable so i thought well i want to get just a little leaner. So i started eating less calories. And now i just steped on the fucker today and i can see my abs and definition are way better! And yet the machine tells me i’m at 19% it makes no fucking sense! Lol

OK so I'm claiming about 20% body fat which means I'm really 30-35 lol depressing, back to cardio & strict diet

Not that is it is the best however there is a photo of several photos within it where it shows different body fat %, and it can be guide to give you a rough idea of what your % is at. Also remember life style and not diet you want to be able to reach your goal and be able to stay there and not strict diet for 12 weeks and then have your goal reached only for another 12 weeks later having to diet again and do it all over and over.

I will measure my body fat weekly in the same conditions with a body fat scale but its only to have a point of reference to see if I am gaining fat, maintaining or losing.

That's all that matters, even if it's inaccurate. At least the number is going down and you can start to see your abs.

I'm 59 years old, started weight lifting when I was 16 years old, keep in mind I still workout 6 days a week....weight train, cardio 3X a week. I still have my 28" inch waist since I was 16, added some muscle, not jacked! I've never been honestly under 9% bodyfat percentage, because it's not just the measure, rather it's heighth, body composition and athletic level. I have always had an 8 pack, my veins not only show in my abs, they show all the way down to my feet and have larger biceps veins, in fact my veins seem bigger than my arms....Just kidding about that, but truthful the triceps make up 76% of circumference of the upper arm. I've not seen many under 10% bodyfat percentage, I have been close to 9%, but not under that. So, yes I agree with Coach Christian, most do lie when they say: 3-4%, you can't be on your back, looking up in a coffin that has not been made, yet when in truth! If you get down to 5%, see how difficult it is to even maintain it for 10 minutes, your body won't allow 3-4%, so yes! You are dead!

Body fat is than 10% is bad for your testosterone. 10% to 15% is ideal.

You need a fair amount of muscle development to have that connection. Your ight side is dominant which means it’s more developed. It happens to me too mate, don’t worry just keep training unilaterally until your sides even out. 2nd possibility: you’re having a stroke

Holy crap! I thought I was the only one that thought this was going on. I’m old but new to working out; Left handed. Doing curls: left bicep works, right forearm does the work. Bench press: left pec works, right tricep does the work....

Body fat percentage should not even be a topic of conversation, being in shape is an entirely visual metric. Either you're lean and ripped or you're not in shape, simple as that, bf% doesn't mean anything.

So true. A true 9% is pretty ripped, and admirable, man. I was able to get underwater weighing in college for some research and was at 12%, in moderately trained, grade B shape for me. I was 21, had a blurry outline of abs, and only had a small amount of pinchable fat at my waistline. I’ve been below that once, while doing daily yoga, and pretty strictly whole food eating. I believe you won’t see chiseled abs until 10.5-11%, and the most shredded athletes you ever see are maybe 6-8% in peak shape. I’ve seen results of underwater weighing of athletes. Claiming even 4-5% for a man is just ridiculous. And a woman 13-15% is absolutely shredded. Thank you for posting this. Stop the nonsense.

yes to that...calipers are NOT accurate..i ve telling ppl this for ages....they can literally measure you at 0%...Seen pro athletes who are double digits to claim they are 6% bf and other clowns...At 6% bf ANYBODY - bber or not you will have visible abs separations on quads and striations ....
