I'm being lapis for Halloween and my mom doesn't want body paint so I am using a tight long pants and long sleeve shirt and dyeing it blue -the dress I got down but ya- then painting my face I hope it works

incredibly helpful tips! when you shower off, does it get blue all over the hotel shower???? I'm terrified of being a nuisance to the hotel staff! (I already know to bring my own towels ;) )

skunkbuttmagoo usually the water based paint can be scrubbed out of the shower easily with soap and water.

Heya! Great video. It was very helpful ^_^ Though I do have a small question that I hope has some form of resolution. I've got a month to try and get rid of this spontanious face outbreak that has sprung up and it hasen't shown any signs of going and I'll be using a dark/ish pastel pink facepaint for an SU cosplay. Do you have any tips with putting on body paint over my face without the outbreak ruining the effect? A not so lovely subject, I know, but I really don't want my cosplay to be ruined DX Thanks!

Is it a big deal if one only has setting powder (instead of setting spray) to use in between layers? Or is that just for the final layer?

Alysha GB I would save the powder til the end and either use hairspray between the layers or just wait for them to dry

So, I noticed that there's a pretty big color difference between the arm socks and your body paint. Is that just the camera, or is the difference really that noticeable in real life too? Because I'm thinking about maybe getting Medium Blue for the arm socks instead of Sky Blue. The Sky Blue ones also seem more see-through on the website. I'd appreciate your suggestion.

Primrose Animations with these paints I can usually do full face neck chest and arms about twice. Without setting spray the paint comes off on the costume and on everything you touch and just dissipates throughout the day. You can use hairspray if you don’t have a setting spray

crow918911 it depends on your skin type. Mention, Kryolan and Snazaroo are good water based. Ben Nye is a good cream based brand

So..... i KNOW I'm 1 year late. But I'm 13, abd REALLY want ro cosplay as lapis lazuli, and cannot do makeup for the life of me. Would it be cool if I skipped adding lashes and all the extra details like contouring and stuff, and just painted my body blue. Would that be okay? And do u have to paint like, my hands and stuff, because that feels like it might get frustrating. Is there something I can wear on my back so I don't have to paint it all? Angela LaFond yeas it is. Sorry if this is really late but for future reference just in case. Also if you can’t find a cheap color of tights that you need then you can always dye them(they have dye at Walmart for like 3$) that way you can customize the color to your liking. I made my arm socks and it was only 7$
