I've been watching a few different DIY dip bar videos for ideas and this is the best! 1. You give all the specifics and yet the video is still under 10 min 2. These work for several exercises, are customizable, and moveable! Thanks so much!

My dip bars is an old walker my neighbor threw out when they moved.

Cool! The ideal space between the p-bars is the tips of your fingers to your elbow. That's usually the highest comfort and safetly to power ratio.

Good to know! Thanks.

so measure the tip of my finger to my elbow and that is how far the bars should be apart

I've looked high and low for a single bar for body/inverted rows and all they sell are pairs of dip bars that are too narrow for wide rows. This is perfect. Cheers.

Would this be a good squat rack to make for ?

$67 is a steal! I live in central California, and the local Home Depot sells the 3/4" Dia, 4' long black pipe for $20 each. For just the pipe and fittings for this exact build (3/4" dia) would come out to $140 before taxes.

That was my first thought, too.

What about putting a soft rubber around the bars for some cushioning?

They seem a little wobbly. How to reduce it?
@dyip324 жыл бұрын
I haven't built it yet, but some say if you pack the pipes with sand, it can help.

just do an H-frame for the foot. so, basically adding another piece on each end that is perpendicular to the foot he shows on his. hence, the name H shape. literally the orientation of how the wood is oriented. :)

I appreciate this video, but the cost of construction materials used in this video (piping, fittings, floor flanges, etc) cost significantly more than buying a set of standing dip bars.

Just made this thinking it'd be a good height for a pushup bar to transition to, hella too high! 😭😭😭 Should have gone down at least a foot! Will still be okay for body weight rows though.. if I can fix the tipping issue I had. Apparently I messed something up.
