Sandra Hüler. Yes, I thought at first she was an FN too. I fully believe she is a Dramatic now. Her features defy any relaxation in hair or apparel. I went to Kibbe’s Metamorphosis, and she looks very much like the actress he chose to represent the Dramatic Kibbe type. Your description of the free spiritedness you would infuse into her fashion convinced me that this would never work. Are you certain that America Ferrera is 5 feet 1 and not 5 feet 3? I know it states on the internet that she's the former but that can be wrong (I think she's the latter). Debbie Reynolds was five feet 1 and America looks like a giant next to her and Bette Davis (who was also about 5 feet 1). America is either a Romantic or a soft natural (but not if she's 5 feet 1).
@laursie889 ай бұрын
I think she is 5 foot 1 as both the people you mentioned were probably 5 foot 1 at their tallest & shrunk (plus any heels they wear distorts it too). If you look at America with people like Eva Longoria and Salma Hayek (who are also petite) , you can see how short she is.
@countfosco19 ай бұрын
@@laursie88Thanks for that. I hadn't seen her with Selma Hayek (who is 5 feet 2) so I googled to see images of them together. According to Kibbe, someone that short can only be three types: soft gamine, theatrical romantic or romantic. I'm even shorter and I'm a theatrical romantic so I don't think she's that. What do you think?
@minervarose76649 ай бұрын
@@countfosco1i am just 5ft and the height factor always throws me off! Am not petite enough to be any type of G (obviously am short but don't look tiny, my limbs are not short and in fact people are quite surprised am not taller than my actual height), and while i have softness and curve it's not enough for R. Plus am not narrow to be a TR either 😢 I did use to think am R but i don't think i have double curve??! Finally i felt like i actually do have balance and softness too, so that makes me SC. But if my height automatically eliminates me from that then i can't imagine what i am 😆 I saw somewhere that the minimum height is more a guide than a strict elimination factor. But that the maximum height is actually an elimination factor. Meaning it is possible (but rare) to be a short C or D, but if you are above a certain height you can only be D or FN...
@countfosco19 ай бұрын
@@minervarose7664 Kibbe's image ID isn't really a body type but a way of classifying each person in accordance with a visual similarity they share and placing them in that group. It's hard to be objective about oneself though. Ask yourself: what do romantics have in common? They are soft with round edges (all yin no yang). Lush and voluptuous with a delicate bone structure. Whereas theatrical romantics are soft and delicate (yin) but have a slight underlying sharp bone structure (yang). They are trim and rather small even with a hourglass figure. Soft gamines have a rounded body type on an angular frame (contrasting yin and yang elements). They are doll-like and rail-thin. whereas soft classics are evenly proportioned (a blend of yin and yang, slightly fleshy and straight). They are moderate and not petite. If you compare Grace Kelly (a soft classic) with Elizabeth Taylor (a romantic)--google them; there's a photo of them side by side--you'll see immediately what these types are. Soft classics are not small. I know height plays a significant part in the way David Kibbe determines image identity type, for when he learns that a person that he thought was shorter, or thought was taller, are not, he tends to amend the type he assigned to them. When he learned Jaclyn Smith, for instance, was 5 feet 7 he ceased seeing her as a theatrical romantic (she's a soft dramatic). All this is about how clothes fit (a garment's cut, how it falls along the lines of your body), what make-up and hairstyles best suit your face and body (as in what is most appropriate for you). Dolly Parton wearing Audrey Hepburn's capri pants would look ridiculous, although she would be right at home in some of Marilyn Monroe's outfits. It's not about an aesthetic: boho vs classic. It's about working with one's features (he doesn't try to make a short person appear tall for instance as if being short were a disease!).
@minervarose76649 ай бұрын
@@countfosco1 ok now am more confused 🙈 when you say petite do you mean short or like just small in size? Because while being short i have never, in my life, been "small made" even when i was on the thinner side...i don't have short limbs either...i do feel like am moderate and evenly proportioned, with curves. But if my height automatically excludes me from SC, then by default i must be R, because for sure am neither delicate (TR) nor doll-like (SG?) Anyhow G lines, patterns etc look ridiculous on me lol. My only hesitation is that i am not soft and voluptuous enough to be R (my own opinion of course) like if i compare myself with a pic of Marilyn Monroe she has this petite but curvaceous look which i don't have. While i do have an hourglass figure, i have relatively broader shoulders, torso (not broad like a Natural or anything!), i don't have tiny hands or feet etc which makes me look more balanced rather than soft. I also look very good in simple, clean lines, like a pencil skirt and tucked blouse for example. I can wear some R too, but again it can't be too fussy (like a simple red or black halter dress with waist definition but not too tight!) too much of frills and poufs is kind of distracting. And if i dress toooooooo "sexy" also it looks kind of off. I need to keep it subtle but feminine, not like in-your-face seductive which i think R's can pull off!

Carey mulligan may be many things but she is definitely not a soft classic - no refined classic beauty. I see a girl next door charm which would make her soft natural or maybe even a boyishness ( in the likes of Emma Watson) which would be a gamine. The dress looks perfect for a soft dramatic: long vertical and curves.
@co42958 ай бұрын
Yes, she is. Kibbe is not about your standard about classic beauty, it is all about body proportions and Carey mulligan is very balanced in bones and height.
@katharinaheckmann49628 ай бұрын
@@co4295 I can see how you would come to that conclusion, but if you cover her head and look at only her body it’s actually not as balanced and proportional as a classic’s: she has wider shoulders and skinny yang-ish arms. I’m leaning towards gamine for her. Classics have that “optical illusion” effect where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. I don’t see that on her. Her face also has that gamine boyish charm, a little bit like Michelle Williams, the sharp Philtrum on the upper lip I find a lot of gamines have. I find her quirky and animated, I can see her in gamine outfits that would look clownish on a classic. She reminds me of Kate bosworth. Even though she wears a lot of classic looks and looks great in them. Kibbe isn’t as set in stone, everybody is a individual and essence lets you cross over into other types. That’s my opinion Anyways, it’s not that serious of a topic… ⭐️ ✨ 💕

The black lady with the green dress thing looked like a giant lizard. Terrible dress didn't go well with her face, made her look scary and severe. Ariana looked cute like a little doll, but I also like her hair natural dark. Lupita was stunning, that is such a good color and style for her, but she usually looks nice, she is just so gorgeous. But I think America is maybe my favorite. She looked the most natural, relaxed, soft, and minimalist. The rest of them were okay, the ladies are all lovely but the dresses were so-so. I actually really liked Charlize's dress but I felt like it was not the best color on her. She should wear something red or royal blue. I'd wear her satin silver dress with a thin silver and diamond necklace. :) This was a fun video.
