If I remember correctly, this song is about their relationship with each other. During recording for one of their albums they almost split up, because they had so many disagreements. But in the end they found a way to move forward as a group. I believe the shark crying under water represents the side fans don’t get to see. Rammstein portray a certain tough guy image, but even they can get emotional behind the scenes.

Part of the lyrics are an allegory to Bertholt Brechts "three penny opera" respectively Mackie Messer's moriat. The song itself is about the band and their friendship. Till once said in an interview that the boat is a chance for him getting a break from the spotlight. Otherwise he becomes too tense and he takes it out on Schneider. The song is so cool and catchy. With love from Germany 🤘 😎

Haifisch is about Rammstein (six hearts), it’s a song about their friendship.

In the early years Flake did the "boat tour" on the song "Seemann". He once described how, during a performance in an Eastern European country, he was thrown over the fence of the venue with the boat and had problems getting back to the stage.

Was für eine Performance, was für eine Begeisterung. Ich kann mich immer wieder wiederholen, Rammstein ist einmalig!!!

The alegory of the shark runs a little deeper, as the shark is often feared and misunderstood because most popular media presents them as sensless murderers, while they are actually just trying to survive like anybody else. That is in itself also an alegory of the band and the scandals they usually get blasted for in the public eye

There is a concert performance to this song where Flake is in the boat and this fan jumps in the boat then when Flake reaches the stage you see security practically grab the guy and handcuff him and arrest him..very very interesting performance that i would love to share with you... but since I guess EVERY Rammstein video just HAS to HAVE ENGlish LyricICS well Thats why i don't bother trying to leave any links or suggestions anymore...but hey Im still here and Still watching because I actually enjoy your reactions...so thank you for all These great reactions to Rammstein.🤘🏻💯💓

I read about the song "Haifisch" it is another great song about the band sticking together and being there for each other. I read that if even 1 member left the group that would pretty much be the end of Rammstein.

I totally get that. They are such individual characters who compliment each other and meld together to make a unique band that replacing any one of them would throw the dynamics out of kilter to the point of them being untenable. Could you imagine another singer trying to replace Till for instance?
@tosa25222 жыл бұрын
Rammstein is the shark in this song. By the lines "Six hearts that burn" and "the fire keeps you warm" you should have figured it out.

He sings about relationship inside the band. They have strong frendship, but sometimes they have some problems like everyone else (shark tiers) I recomend to you react to official video, there is perfect contrast between lyrics and video This is it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fabOf52Phr-KbtU

This is about each member respecting and helping each other. no matter what personal problems/issues they were going through....relationship problems...drugs...alcohol etc. They always stood by and supported each other and they made it so no one member is better than the rest or what one member says goes.. no..they are all equal. I have also Read that Rammstein themselves Said that nothing goes through unless they all agree well i had wondered how true it was? Well I just found out something about that ... during the recording of the Mutter album....for one song, not known which, Till Lindemann wrote 24 different lyrics before finally, everyone in the band agreed and the song got approved. Also when they are touring and one of them is having problems they will postpone or reschedule so that the other person can take care of whatever that may be.

As everyone else said, it's about the band and they often said, if for only one of them something doesn't seem right or one has some issues, they will stop going further. It's all or no one (in another interview they've said they have some kind of "democracy" though, where the majority decides but that's more for the business and song picks for the albums and concerts) The Haifisch could be a second theme in the song and that could be Till (the author of the lyrics) himself. He is often pictured as the alpha, but it could be a lonely, misunderstood life as an alpha.

It refers to "The Ballad of Mack the Knife" from Bertolt Brecht's "The Threepenny Opera" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mack_the_Knife
@fixzeichner55922 жыл бұрын
The text is primarily a pun on the word "halten" which has several meanings in German. Till often uses such ambiguity. The chorus is a modification of the song "Mackie Messer" from the "The Threepenny Opera"( die Dreigroschenoper) by Berthold Brecht.

After "about 10 years" :-))) of reactions to Rammstein, he finally discovered one of Rammstein's most famous show acts. I know of other show acts that he doesn't know about, but I'm purposely not mentioning them. It's much more exciting to see when he discovers these other things.

You have to watch the official Video for this song. It is very ironic and funny. Rammstein has only some irony in there songs and don‘t take themselves to serious.

There's no environmental theme. The inflatable is a shark dressed as a pirate hence the skull and crossbones and the red bandana on its head. But hey, whatever floats your boat 😉
