I consider Gaahl to be the "Elvis" of Black Metal. I don't care what other people say about him, he has a stage presence unmatched by any other BM vocalist.

Thanks for checking it out, man. I read somewhere once that whenever Gorgoroth was performing they'd hit up the local butcher and buy out all their sheep heads, and I believe that the blood in their makeup was also real sheep's blood. The black metal scene is intense and the imagery is very haunting. Great reaction :)

Not sure about the blood because it stinks after a while. A lot of BM bands use paint because of that reason.

Yup and the sheep heads were starting to rot by the time they performed so the smell was terrible and they had huge fans blowing the smell out into the crowd lol

Great video, as always! If you feel like reacting to more Black Metal, I’ve got the perfect band for you: Mütiilation. Although the former band members and founder abandoned Mütiilation, it is still amazing - they were a French black metal band. The two songs I’d recommend from them would be: Destroy Your Life for Satan and/or Suffer the Gestalt. Keep going with the videos! I think I was the one who recommended Gorgoroth about 3 weeks ago. Either way, seeing someone react to (and enjoy) Gorgoroth is other-worldly.

Gaahl was the best vocalist for Gorgoroth. He was pretty insane, once kidnapping a guy and tied him up. He drained the guys blood into a cup and drank it. He eventually let the guy go and served 14 months in jail. He also 100% supported church burnings, something which I don't support. While I hate religion, especially christianity, I don't condone violence

This song is even more magical when you watch the entire show, the last blast beat, when the lighting rig goes into Armageddon mode, is almost tear jerking... This is actually God Seed btw, it's a Gorgoroth song, written by members of God Seed who after a failed attempt to remove the founder went off and did their own thing... Fucking immense though, best show on earth, ever...

the weirdest part of this band is when you discover there isn't much effects on his voice. They have a song called unchain my heart where he somehow screams for like a full minute you can start a timer on some of the recordings, or the other song he did called teeth grinding.
