Just pointing out something since most people here are in deep misconception. Literally no one is trying to prove that muscles are useless. A fair amount of muscles is needed in judo and most muscles like rear deltoids and lats are developed in judo.

Let's not get too carried away with the mind beats muscle idea, being stronger helps and anyone who actively avoids exercise because they're too good for it is only sabotaging himself andwill lose to the guy who does

Youre a ametuer I can tell. But I can assure you that judo requires insane amount of strenght and endurance. I am a blue belt judoken and I built insane amount of muscles from just judo, my rear delts are massive so are my lats. I developed the flollowing muscles with: traps,shoulders,biceps,lats,core,abs,obliques,calfs and even quads and hamstrings. Obviously the rest of the muscles were trained in the gym to balance out my physique. The only difference between martial arts developed muscles and gym developed muscles is that one option makes your muscles functionable while the other just puts on dead weight(muscle mass beyond the needed)

And you think practicing martial arts won’t give you muscle ? Strength, endurance, flexibility and body coordination on top of that. Clearly you’ve never been to one ( the real ones not the mcdojo’s).
