That fact that this guy 1) knows what he’s talking about, 2) has useful and thoughtful suggestions to fix problems, and 3 explains it all clearly and concisely, has me almost crying tears of relief. I didn’t think content of this calibre on this topic existed on KZbin. I think these exercises could finally help me overcome the pain I’ve been having for almost 2 years. Thank you!!!!

I prefer to pull back off heels with rest of foot up and relaxed but present, when bridging. Bridging is from yoga and that's how yogis do it.

Funny I used to be a dancer and now I am experiencing some effects of that like hip misalignment, tight hemstrings. Got to be a thing. Working from home for 5 years is not helping, I used to sit for hours at the time. I just also learned that it mylight not me hamstrings but the nerve actually. Hmm. Helpful video

Omg. I've had this issue for 3 years and I've watched every fitness video on it on KZbin. I can name every single Fitnesstuber, I've watched them all. NOTHING helped. Every month I would give it a new try to fix the issue, because it is inhibiting my workout. Today, I came back from the chiropractor with no sign of fixing this issue. On a whim, I just opened KZbin and this video came up and thank god for it. It turns out, I've been dealing with #2 and #3 gives me incredibly tight sensations that I haven't felt before too. Hopefully I can finally fix it. Thank you so much for making this video!

@@Axlg Always fun to come back to old comments. I saw a personal trainer a few months actually, for an unrelated issue in my back though kind of similar, and while I suspected tightness there as well because one of my shoulders was hanging lower which made me think the back muscle was tight, he informed it was due to weakness, contradictory enough. I did the exercises he showed me, and they fixed the issue immediately. Then we adressed the legs in a similar way. My "chronically tight hamstrings" were actually just weak hamstrings, and while exercises I tried to do before didn't work, new ones he gave me made me sore immediately. A few weeks later, not only were my legs physically stronger, but the issues also went away. So update: it's not always tightness, even if it feels tight. In many cases, particularly when you aren't the fittest person, it can be simple weakness, and you need new exercises with good form to really hit the muscle correctly. Hope this helps!

Hey, I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video. My left hamstring acts up on days like today, I dug a trench. The exercise @ 2:25 worked GREAT! I noticed a BIG difference when I started the 2nd set. I was surprised really, haha. On the 4th set I realized I got my flexibility back. This is amazing. You gave me the answer for every time it acts up now.. I'm still in awe. Thank you.

This had me go oh. Ooooh. Despite having an ok mobility (in part possibly due to slightly hyperflexible joints), my hamstrings always feel super tight, even with regular stretching and while getting more flexible. I got to #3 and had a moment of, ah, okay, so that's where the problem might be. Thank you for introducing options that aren't 'you just need to stretch your hamstrings more', bc that clearly wasn't the problem!
