Do you have any alternatives to lunges? I can't do them due to the arthritis in my forefeet.

Maybe try them with your front door elevated/higher so the back foot doesn't have to bend so much

@ I have watched over 200+ videos, done every stretch, every strength exercise, changed diet, read articles, seen physios, chiropractors etc. It has dawned on me that the pain and problem I have with my right shoulder/ rhomboid is due to the neck and not with the upper rhomboid where I felt the pain. My pain is gone, and understandably comes back when having poor neck posture. But a quick neck stretch (lengthen the neck joints) makes any additional discomfort disappear. Thanks for your work! 🫡

I don't know which pain is worse-- slipped ribs, throbbing gums where titanium screw sits where my tooth fell out, or being gaslit and muted at same time by ignorant family 🤷♀️💔

I'm interested in using our massage gun to see if it will help my foot where I'm experiencing plantar fascitis symptoms. Can you clarify the speed for the massage gun? As in the exact number you recommend? Thank you so much for your help!

40-60% of maximum speed. But this alone is not enough, so see my video on plantar fasciitis

Suggest some exercises for seniors above 70.
@BodyFixExercises2 күн бұрын
Just do it without weights, and move as far as you can in the recommended direction. Eg. If you can't sit down on a low chair, use a higher chair, or put folded towels on top of the chair. Do the farmer walk with light weights. Don't move down so far in the lunge or wall pushup.

Question- Heating pad seems to be helping me more than ice. Any concern for using a heating pad on fractured ribs? Mine is up near the collar bone and clavicle. Thanks so much for the excellent advice!
@BodyFixExercises2 күн бұрын
Should be fine, as long as it's not the first 5 days and the next day is ok. It's more for the analgesic effect and minimising inflammation. But don't put heat or ice on your throat. Lots of nerves & arteries, and a blood pressure centre in the front and side of your neck

Damn, I made the test (sit to stands). Set the stop-watch to 30 sec, started it and got up to 24 repetitions when I realized the stop-watch actually had not started counting down. Did it again right after and only got up to 12 reps in 30 sec (14 was the target). Somewhat concerning result, but I'll try again tomorrow and see how far I get. I am confident I'll get at least 14, but then I am thinking: what is considered a "normal" or good result for somebody without sarcopenia? I very much appreciate your video for including a list of recommended exercises I can do at home. This is surprisingly rare, in other videos most often the advice is to go to a gym, but unfortunately not everybody has access to a gym.
@BodyFixExercises2 күн бұрын
Yeah, I think you'll do better tomorrow having not just done 24! I figured most wouldn't have gym access so I thought I'd better give some alternatives until I can do a video that focuses on the exercises more. Good luck!

I am so grateful to you for this video (and many of your others). I'm 57 and started feeling just generally weak and unbalanced a few years ago. I'm now making strong efforts to build muscles. So thank you for giving me research-based suggestions that I can incorporate into my daily routine. Your exercises have already helped my shoulder health recover from a frozen shoulder and shoulder impingment.

Thanks so much for your lovely comment. Yes, I'm 55 and am now putting strength work and balance as major priorities. I've got a great exercise for regaining full mobility after frozen shoulder, so I'll try to post that one soon!

Not from age (yet), but from years of auto-immune trouble and forced inertia. I hate being inactive, and my muscles are nearly gone. This is gold!
@steverabbitsКүн бұрын
100% definitely. The last year in particular my body has started to waste away. Being far too sedentary is the main issue for me, I've noticed a huge difference. I'm 64 and just did 19 sit to stands in 30 seconds. Was hard though. Really galling when I consider how fit and strong I was in my early 40s. Use it or lose it basically.
