Wow! What a surprise seeing 4 grain wagons behind the tractor. I've never seen that before. Of course we only grew wheat, barley, oats, timothy, fescue and canola. We could shuttle our grain trucks easily to our granaries, unload and be back in the field in time for another load because the grain takes up less space than corn kernels. Also we had granaries on nearly every field, so our access sites were close to the storage sites. Great video!

The sound of the corn being unloaded into the truck is one of the best there is. Certainly sounds dry. That’s the best though; no drying. Thanks for the video.

Howdy from Nebraska! You could do what I do with my international 1460 combines. Go on our use for corn combine and the other is my soybean combine. So it is easy as jumping to one combine to the next for switching fields that fast.
@boehmfarm42765 жыл бұрын
That's an idea. I would like to get two combines going in the same field at once.
@Ron52G5 жыл бұрын
@@boehmfarm4276 We run a 4400 and a 4420 cutting soybeans. Running two combines shelling corn is a problem unless you have enough people and trucks and wagons to to haul it away. The farthest we ever farmed form the house was 4 miles. We have 4 gravity flow wagons and it wasn't possible to keep ahead of the 4400 shelling corn hauling corn that far to unload it. How did the snouts get bent? Might want to weld a skid plate under the snout to keep it from catching the snout in the frozen dirt. Or get some thin hydraulic spacers so the head won't go down too far. Our corn made 230 this year. not as good as it was last year.
