'I just needed to make some small modifications' - Proceeds to saw the plane into three pieces and to extend the fuselage. I dread to think what 'major modifications' might be. Melting down a plane kit and remoulding it into a car?

I'd think a major modification would be something close to what I watched my kit building mentor do. He wanted to build an Avro Manchester, but could not get the right kit, so he bought an Avro Lancaster and converted it himself. However he admitted himself, that his kits were never finished as well as they could be.

I took once the Boeing "Hello Kitty" of EVA AIR. But It's not only a paint job on the outside: everything inside is designed with hello kitties. Even the paper toilet is printed with hello kitties. After a 12 hours flight you are broken (wo)man...

I also use a JLC saw. What a tool it is! Cutting is so easy and panel line restoration is a breeze. I've had it for about 4yrs now, still on the original blade. Excellent advice for airbrushes. What?! No Santa's little helper? Beautiful work on the extensions, another gem for your stable of work!

I love watching David work. Such attention to detail. TBH, I haven't built up a model kit since I was a kid. And those that I built almost never made it to the paint stage, instead falling victim to the imagination of a 10 year old with fireworks.

Hey thanks for the expansion into airliners. Personally I love that models reflect stories. Some are historically significant, some aesthetically so. If you get a passion for a 767, you could do Air Canada's "Gimly Glider." It didn't look special. But it was all the same. Mr Mgeni

Respect taking out the saw and cutting instead of finding a Daco 737-300.. I have made one Daco 300 "Sam's Town" and am currently having two more on the build. I do not recognize the decal problems you have but I used Danny Daco's own strong decal softener without any problems at all.... The kit is by far the best 737 out there although fiddly and parts do not fit everywhere. Danny Daco is one few who understands how to engineer jet engines with the intake trunk as one piece... Other producers make it a nightmare taking care of the split seam inside the the assembled engine... Your 737 turned out very very nice. Congrats... Luckily I stocked up and have 14 more 3,4 and 500 from Daco to build...regards Matt

Hi mate, you are my hero. After watching your videos, I was ashamed to call myself a modelist. Well, I'm almost 60 years old, and when I was a kid, I built Revell kits. Here in Brazil they were manufactured under license by Kikoler. After a few years, because of the general lack of interest from the people here, the business closed. Since the 1990s the market has opened up and we have had access to manufacturers from other countries. My interest was in ships. I returned to the hobby in 2014. So far I've already assembled four models: Monogram's Catalina sailboat, Airfix's HMS Dragon, Revell's Jacques Cousteau's Calypso, and Bronco Models' HMS Victorious. I'm with HMS Monmouth from Trumpeter in the box waiting to be assembled. Actually, I do not do videos. But, I write reviews, very well documented with the history of the model and many photographs, almost a step by step. I would love to send you, but surely you do not read Portuguese. The only German I know who speaks Portuguese is another architect from Dusseldorf. Congratulations, I have been inspired and follow your work. very good!

Great topic, grew up with the Simpsons as well and love your result. You made this shine, literally, and am impressed with the mods made. I have been spraying Tamiya diluted with their Lacquer Thinner...it makes a huge difference for smoothness, handling and finish, but you need a spray booth. I had my eye on this decal set, but found the Zvezda kits for the model a bit pricey so didn't follow through. Another great video

Beautiful! I used to work with the 737-300's for Southwest Airlines and the amount of dirt/grime/crap on the plane is just insane. Something I don't see well captured on most models out there. Everyone goes for the factory clean look which personally I dislike as thats not true to real life at all. Even in my flight simulator everyone goes for the clean look. Clean commercial planes are very hard to come by so your work captures that well!

The Zvezda Tu-154 is a great kit but watch out when you are building it. It is molded from far softer plastic than other kits and sandpaper goes through it like butter. I sanded right through the roof of the fuselage on my first kit and had to toss it. On my second build, my razor saw went right through the fuselage while I was rescribing some panel lines.
