I could listen to hours of you teaching! You are a WONDERFUL EDUCATOR! The years of hands-on knowledge and experience you have translates to an intimate understanding of flight physics, fluid dynamics, engineering and piloting and I could listen to you talk about the physics of it - all of it actually - for days. You remind me of Warren VanderBurgh (from AA in the 90’s) and that’s one of the biggest compliments I can pay you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us!

Crosswind take off and landings for me usually the hardest, becuase i am playing on a keyboard(wasd) in msfs 2020. and it's pretty problematic to operate with one hand elerons and ruddders at the same time. Can't remember how many times i got an engine strike on 747-8 on landing even during light wind up to 10 knots. Plus msfs has really strange sencivity on a keyboard that cannot be changed. Great explanation by the way.

Thank you, Capt. Obet! Left rudder to offset the weathercocking effect on the the vertical stab from the right xwind, right?
@FTStratLP11 күн бұрын
@@martin.B777 Yes and ss Captain Obet said to neutralize the yaw to the right, which is caused by the right aileron input.
@martin.B77710 күн бұрын
@@FTStratLP Acutally, the right yaw is caused by the weathercocking effect. Right crosswing pushing a vertical stab and pivoting an aircraft to the right.
@franklee386111 күн бұрын
is it fine to interpret that the surface area aft the CG is bigger than that ahead of CG, so when wind hits the plane from right, the plane tends to yaw to right so we need to apply left rudder to counteract during the takeoff?
