For reference the new Model 3 highland performance brakes overheated 1/4 way through the lap and also limited power by 50% before the first lap even finished!! Couple of issues with the Mach-E and the test in general... 1) State of charge - The only commentary we have is that the Mach-E was at least at a 60% SoC. This can impact power output and the resulting times. What was the SoC of the other vehicles? What are their power curves based on SoC? I don't know, but it's certainly an important factor/consideration. But more importantly... 2) Drive mode - The Mach-E was in Unbridled Extend. This mode reduces peak power. I found a Mach-E Forum post that suggested this reduction can limit power to about 70%. I am not sure of the accuracy of that, but the same post did link an EV Pulse video that did compare 0-60 times between modes. In that video, the Mach-E was definitely hampered in Unbridled Extend when compared to the regular Unbridle mode. We already have Ford quoting 3.3 seconds for 0-60 and 11.8@114 in the 1/4 for the 2024 Mach-E GT with performance upgrade. They literally call out beating the Model Y Performance in their marketing now. You seriously didn't question your results or think something was off?

The Mustang needs to be ran in Unbridled only mode, not extended. On a full charge, it's about 1 sec 1/4 mile difference. SOC would have also been a limiting factor here, but even at 60% it wouldn't have been that far off, if not for Unbridled Extended mode. I'd say on a re-race, in the proper drive mode, the Mustang will come in 2nd, maybe 3rd. Not fast enough for 1st, but it's not as slow as depicted in this test either.

Might as well get a Toyota Prius and complaint it can’t do quarter mile in 11 sec. Utterly absurd. 🙄

Take the Mach-E out of unbridled extend mode. In Unbridled extend the power is LIMITED to something like 80% of what it's rated, and it's intended for use in LONG hard racing, like in a rally race or something similar so that it can run longer without overheating components. Unfortunately this was not a fair test, and your choaen settings handicapped the Mach-E. For short drag races you should not be limiting power with this mode turned on.
