Boeing 777x action in Billings! One of the beautiful Boeing 777x touch and go, landing, and take off

One of the Boeings beautiful 777Xs came by Billings for a touch and go, then landed and sat on the taxi way for a while before taking off and returning to Boeing Feild in Seattle. This is aircraft is beautiful and absolutely MASSIVE!

I was working that night, got to see that 777x take off, it was so cool. Then I had to work with the UPS 757 that landed afterwards. You've got a great shot man :)

@@gobj007 part of the season but same time the cost of the engine swaps or not the 777x is projected to be more realiable, by yes to your point, those engines in the desert climate for Emirates main Hub and home they would swapping them out alot

I see what Montana Tourism means by "Big Sky". Spectacular scenery - but what's it like in winter? Nice plane, btw, with unfolding wings from about 2:03 ahead of the roll. How many emergency exits does this fuselage have - that's a lot of potential plugs to fall off!

Hi I live in Montana. I live in the very west of the state surrounded by beautiful mountains. Winter is going to get cold. Depending on where In the state. We got down to -22f and that it got to -44f in another city for example. In one night!

the -1000 is far less of a modification than the -9 is. The -9 has completely new engines, a new wing design, and considerable changes to the fuselage

It's very sad that a company with a 100+ years of fantastic products like the 777X has gotten into the situation it's in now. What's even more disheartening, if the media reports are correct, is that they are still stonewalling on the Max9 plug door. Imagine, they can't find repair paperwork on a plane delivered in October 2023... They're becoming a disgrace to themselves and what they claim to stand for. Very sad.

Good question. They are 2 different airports. About 40-50min away from each other Paine field serves as a regional airport for Alaska/horizon and a few others as well as Boeing in Everett for the wide bodies like the 777. Renton is the air field that supports the 737 and smaller flight schools/ general aviation activity south of Seattle

The runway at Renton is just over 5,000 ft long. But there has been 747's in and out of there.

AT this time the 777X is NOT certified and can not be purchased and flown by any airline.
