I’m not sure why so many people think assassins don’t actually exist. They do! They are REAL people who are paid to “unalive” other people and make it look like it was either an accident or a suicide. It’s not a conspiracy or something you just see in the movies, they’re legitimate guns for hire and they can get pretty creative with ways to eliminate someone. They “unalive” people for a living and cover it up. That is literally their job, and they’re pretty good at it. And that’s what’s scary.

The dish soap thing actually is the proper lubricant for installing seals. It just stands out, because especially in aviation they will take a screw driver, re-name it and then charge $700 for a “flap adjustment tool”. The report also mentions chalk and people were freaking out about that too, but that is a appropriate tool for the job. And I kinda think that’s why the media is focusing on that. Because it’s drawing attention away from the lack of Quality Assurance and pushing it towards something that they can prove was actually done “by the book” and then make everything seem like it’s being blown out of proportion.

As far as the use of dawn dish soap, cheesecloth, and hotel key cards, I’ll say there’s absolutely nothing wrong about that. We use seemingly strange and unusual things as tools because of the materials of the tool, and requirements of the task. I will say that it is likely that they are still failing to uphold a high standard of safety within the industry, but as far as the strange and unusual, it’s just another case of mechanics being creative and finding a better tool or technique for the job. Dean's own doctor described the symptoms at 6:37 as completely unheard of to them. A trained medical professional, with (I'm assuming) lots of knowledge due to the specific medical procedures being performed, looked at his lungs and Straight-up said "I have never seen anything like this" and couldn't offer an explanation for it. It's honestly bit chilling that Boeing somehow managed to assassinate someone in a way that not even trained doctors could explain.
@Basalate6 ай бұрын
Definitely chilling. Not at all surprising though. Get yourself an unscrupulous bio grad student and a few million dollars, do a little CRSPRing on already prevalent MRSA strains to bump up lethality and antibiotic resistance, and then all that's left is to find a way to secretly deliver the payload to your target. Doctors won't even be able to tell what they're looking at before you keel over from an unheard of infection. Custom made bio weapons are a scary prospect, and they're only going to become cheaper, easier to make, and harder to combat.

Well, I mean, it sounds like they just gave him a whole bunch of infections. I don’t think the doctor meant like it was literally a virus they’d never seen before but more that there’s no logical explanation as to how you could contract all of at them at the same time so that particular combination of viruses is one they’ve never seen before. Still scary but we don’t want to give them sci-fi powers

This went on for years until it was discovered and proof was presented. We had a whole lot of people getting fired and led out of the building by security. Nearly the entire area aswell as several corporate managers and other associates who had already moved to different buildings previously were never seen in the company again. Fast foward to now and they're incredibly strict about the quality of the aircraft parts we manufacture.

It should be noted that in the 90s, Boeing merged with McDonald Douglas, the same shady company that tried to cover up the DC-10 cargo door flaw that caused two major accidents, one of which is one of the worst in the world. This type of shit also happens in pharmaceutical companies where people will barely follow the SOP or just not follow it entirely, or they'll do things when QA/QC isn't watching, and just try to keep things moving and meet deadlines. It's the type of thing where EVERYONE who is even suspect of being a non-compliant person has to be fired. Managers, supervisors, team leads, they all have to go because ultimately they also do some shady stuff beyond the actual manufacturing processes, too. I used to work at a pharma company that made injectable drugs primarily for people who were going through certain types of cancers and constantly, I would get berated by my colleagues and my team leads for trying to follow the SOP and actual protocols. It got to a point where they wouldn't let me do certain things because "you don't listen." Times where I've tried to bring up concerns about people not following SOP just fell on deaf ears. I really applaud these two gentlemen for taking it upon themselves to do what is right and making the ultimate sacrifice to keep other people safe.

@@kosquo4328 I appreciate the kind words. I no longer work at that company, but I reckon it happens in other pharma companies, too. During my time at this company, I've witnessed a lot of fucked up things. Document falsification, using product that has fallen on the ground (supposed to be disposed of, even if it's sealed), backdating, the list goes on. A lot of these directions were given from managers and supervisors to technician level employees. The upper echelon are so concerned about profit that they use equipment that's older than I am. Schedules were humanly not possible given the equipment and manpower so it was constant overworking and Saturdays spent there. The experience was truly humbling though. Makes me wonder if there's a technician who had to suffer that way just so I could get my medication. Being on the production side of things, it really ruined my trust in any of these big pharma companies for anything. Even in food processing, I don't trust the conditions in which they're made, but what other choice do we have but to eat and use these products?
