My father is a retired pastor who spent his life preaching; some weeks were over 80 hours when you include all the outreach, visiting shut-ins, hospitals etc. He increased the weekly membership almost tenfold, and his church during his time was given many endowments, well into 7 figures. For all his efforts he was paid a meager barely middle class salary. He had to beg the board for raises or a reasonable allowance for his car that he put 100s of thousands of miles on. He’s now almost flat broke in an elderly rehabilitation facility which is funded by medicaid and yet he’s never cursed his fate, instead he’s met each challenge with courage and dignity. He didn’t need a private jet to “do what [he did] we do”… the guy in this video has turned more people off of religion than actually converted… and I certainly don’t respect him enough to have him preach to me or lead folks in prayer… he’s also very creepy.

I used to dislike how movies depict bad guys as one dimensional monsters. Most of the time it's just a very pedestrian combination of greed and hate, mate)
@cerberusk969 ай бұрын
a good movie should never depict the villain as one dimensional. often, people who are villainous are intelligent and have very "valid" reasons for doing what they do, with there usually being a dilemma that they end up on the wrong side of which eventually distorts their concept of a moral compass the further into evil deeds they dive, causing them to either need to lie or create excuses for their actions. sometimes that dilemma is as simple as saying to oneself "it's just a few dollars, they won't even notice if I have a few. I deserve it", and it proceeds into something like this person who is clearly and consciously extorting believers for financial gain.

Thus creating in-fighting between the denominations, chasing some Christians out of the faith, and not having other people wanting to join the faith? Like it'd be 3 pillars with 1 push.

NO, it's a possessed human. That scripture he keeps quoting about principalities? It's the truth hiding in plain sight. dehumanizing the wicked is a lie from Satan to make us think "oh but WE could never fall that far". The mean Austrian Painter was certainly possessed, he did enough drugs daily to make it REAL easy for foreign spirits to climb in.

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:25 The funniest thing about all this is that all he had to do was apologize for the commercial class quote and say that flying private helps to ensure he can get where he’s going quickly and help more people, and the reporter probably would’ve backed off. But he’s so slimy and full of himself that he can’t even manage to do that.
