I always come to this song once in a while, I remember before it gave me a sense of happiness and I never listened to the lyrics well enough because the happy tone and synth sounds fit what was going on in my life at the time. I was happy, I had friends, I was quiet but I was living my best life as a 7th-10th grader. Now I’m in the 11th grade and I attempted to commit, I’m a shut in and all I care about right now are my grades I don’t have friends anymore because I shut them all out because of my shame of what I had done to myself. They turned out to be fake anyways. It’s funny how we always think we’re so in control of our lives, then boom suddenly our own mind turns against us. Literally “all my life I’ve been so sure I’m all right.” Please look after your mental health and reach out for help if you need any.

hope you're doing better now friend, ive had a similar experience. Basically i struggled through junior year with my girl and she just suddenly decided i wasnt good enough anymore. After that i lost a few friends and am still in a pretty dark place, but this kind of thing has happened to me more than once, so i hope you'll take my word for it: it will eventually stabalize, and it may take an enternity but eventually it will. It did the first time and it will again. (Ps, dont commit, i struggle with near daily suicidal thoughts but if i can resist i believe u can too) have a great school year friend 👍
