So blood gems played during fight are not permanent? I was preaty sure that Gem Smugler + tier4 deathrattle beast was giving perma buff.

Nope. Combat buffs are never permanent unless stated specifically like Ghoulacabra, Burrower, and Tarec. You can watch his Roogug before combat and after combat at 20:11 and 21:02. The left Roogug has the same 45 attack.

Murkeye + Gem Smuggler or Deathscale + Gem Smuggler were permanent because they were in the buy-phase. Rylak never has been. All buffs applied in combat are temporary unless explicitly stated on the card text (like Ghoul-Acabra or Tarecgosa for example)

nah, not worth the resources early and not worth losing the +gem buff from 3 lil pigs late. Attack is severely overrated after the 1st 5 or so anyway :)
