@mojojoedwards6 жыл бұрын
Why are you gassing the pedals? It will only make it dig deeper. The only way out of the sand is to lightly press on them and turn your wheels left and right. What a lovely video, totally enjoyed the story line and editing. Come to Qatar and see these beasts rule the dunes! :) The first time I got my FJ Cruiser, got stuck like this the very same way but with full pressure. Tide coming in felt like death.
@Australian4x4Adventures6 жыл бұрын
Really happy you enjoyed the film. Dave likes the sound of hes y62 at full noise so he got stuck a lot lol.
@neutronstorm6 жыл бұрын
I was thinking exactly the same. The maxtracs are just to make a ramp to lift you onto the sand surface. If you spin the wheels you will just dig back down again. That being said, those conditions look horrific and it may just have been too soft for that to work. Would have been interesting to see how the 200's crawl control would have handled the situation. Good job getting the cars out.
@Australian4x4Adventures6 жыл бұрын
Momentum was definitely the key on that beach. It was some of the softest sand I’ve ever seen. No one else drove that beach as we all seen how soft it was and how bad Dave got stuck. So the rest of us decided to drive around it.
@neutronstorm6 жыл бұрын
Owwww. I wanted to see the 200 on crawl control "hare and the tortoise" right past him. That being said, I wouldn't take my car down that low on an incoming tide either!
@mikehzz98486 жыл бұрын
I've been stuck there, the sand is different and catches a lot of people out. Very coarse and extremely soft. You have to be there to understand. The tide was coming in for me too. Crawl control in the Cruiser wouldn't have worked on that stuff, it's deadly.

16:26 that 200 is going nowhere that’s for sure! Any 200 series Cruisers and y62s should be fitted with couple inches of lift and 37s to compensate the low ramp over angles.
@Australian4x4Adventures6 жыл бұрын
Duramax comp I’ve got a 2” lift in my 200. But unfortunately 37” tyres won’t fit the 200 without some significant guard cutting.
@ElisPalace6 жыл бұрын
37s calm down
@marekbusta2mordy-silver-po2924 жыл бұрын
On Y62 Patrols is suitable minimum 2'' lift with 35'' tyres are great, 4'' with 35'' - 37'' tyres are too excellent choice to very demanding, difficult Offroad but with 4'' are losing universall, versatile car options a bit, 2'' with 35'' are best for versatility.

The land rover didn’t need to get pulled off that ridge even if it was already raised. Foot on the break and hold the lever in the rise position for 3s and you’ll hear a ping and the car will raise again to the extra high position and drive off.
