Sounds fantastic. It would be cool to see more of the small amps, considering there's no need for massive full stack rigs anymore.

I agree. Trying to get my hands some more soon. I’m definitely curious to see how they all perform. The 50’s have been great but this is my first experience with smaller.

@@tyrannosaurusriffs I don't know if it's a big thing where you are, but in my area you can rent amps. I'd happily contribute to your YT Community page to help cover costs. It's really to bad we aren't closer. I have friends with some really nice small amps, including a Silver Jubilee 20, Mesa mkV 25 and Badlander 25, Engl unknown model 25w, and a couple of others that I'm not even sure who made. Believe when I say: bass players get happy inside when they see a band with small amps. It means we can play small too.

@@deangullberry5148I love the idea of renting amps. I haven’t found anywhere in Utah that does that. Would make my life so much easier. I’ve been lucky this year with people letting me borrow equipment. Saving my bacon not buying everything this year. All of the amps you listed would be awesome to try! I also want to try the Orange OR30!

I'm not very good with taxes, I still prefer the H thing for guitars and the T thing for bass, but the radio down here has still got real hot tubes. Namastè.

Excellent demo! Appreciate the well rounded playing. Would be great to hear it through a selection of guitars, maybe some passive pickups. Sounds wicked tho. Cheers!

I don't remember what model it was but Emerald City Guitars in Seattle let me try out a big Bogner amp and cab and it sounded fantastic. Super powerful and chunky

Great demo man! Been eyeballing this amp for the last couple weeks & think you just sold me on it. I’ve been just playing plug-ins for a couple years now after a gear purge & was missing having a good tube amp around. I had my choices boiled down to either this or one of the smaller Friedman heads. Anyways, keep up the good work! Sub’d

Hey thank you! I appreciate the kind words! I’m actually purging amps to get more digital haha. I’ll keep 3 amps at minimum though. I can’t go straight digital. I am glad you found this video helpful and welcome to the channel!

Thanks! I didn't get to try it in a band setting unfortunately. I feel like it could hang, but I think it would have to be cranked at least half if we're talking normal basement setup with 4-5 dudes. I think it could hang, but can't say 100% for sure. Sorry!

Having problems with the fx loop
@Eltonx387 ай бұрын
I have bad news, I do not recommend this amplifier at all, let's assume that it is an amplifier made in China, and it has a big problem in the fx loop which makes white noise when you turn it on, I spoke with a bogner representative who only offered me make mods to solve the Problem and I say that after a couple of years the amplifier was returned but Bogner was not responsible and they did not assume the problem, do not buy it, there are better alternatives.
@tyrannosaurusriffs7 ай бұрын
That’s a bummer for sure. Especially for a high end amplifier. I’m sorry that you went through this experience!
@brianrobb18547 ай бұрын
Newer models that say fx loop and not assign fx on the rear have the updated loop from the 50w 3534. Steer clear of the previous and most common variant that has a known FX loop noise issue. Bogner will recommend you run it a specific way to tame the issue.
@tyrannosaurusriffs7 ай бұрын
@@brianrobb1854 Thanks for sharing that info! That's good to know.
@brianrobb18547 ай бұрын
Michael Nielsen’s video comparing the 35w to the 50w sold me tonally on the more modern tweak to the 35w. This video cements that. However heavy research shows the FX loop with the ch 2 and 3 assign feature has a noise issue if used in the logical traditional way. Bogner would have you run your master low to reduce noise. Newer 35w incarnations have a different loop design that doesn’t feature the useless ch 2&3 feature. This is essentially the loop on the more woody, vintage, lower gain 50watt variant. Which from all reports is excellent. So I stalked reverb paid a couple hundred more dollars and I have a new revised loop 3534 on the way.
