Hi I'm considering buying this head but how loud does it get? I've heard a lot of rumors saying this head is only good for small to medium sized gigs and it won't work for rehearsal with a metal band due to it's lack of volume. The reason why I ask is it because it's not "loud enough" or is it a case of "louder is more better". Obviously I understand everyone's needs are different but will a loud drummer really drown this thing out with a 2x10 under it? Thanks in advance and thank you for the review. If anyone else has this head and has an opinion please feel free to reply.

Piston1776 hey, I haven’t jammed with it with a drummer before - only in the studio. Based on the input volume of my loadbox, I’d guess that it would be loud enough, but a 2x10 also is a relatively small cab. Wish I could help more!

You still using the PF 50 for bass? I've been using the UAD ampeg Sims but I want to start using real amps.. what would you choose for hard rock tones between a PF 20, PF 50 and a V4B R

Yes and I love it! I’ve learned how to dial it in better and should make an updated vid. I think all tube higher wattage is going to be punchiest, so Id go with the pf50 or v4b. Never played a v4b but I have compared a svt cl with the pf50 and the pf50 does have the general svt sound in a smaller package
