@Targie I've been playing Tekken since part 2. I have no desire to ever stop. But if it didn't have an online component I'd stop playing real quick because playing the computer for more than 2 minutes gets boring REAL quick.Can the online component improve? Sure. Does it need to be expunged? To think it does is foolish. And I'm not saying you're saying this. I'm just saying.

@dancecosby757 I tried to leave this alone and I just can't. Dude even Alabama has Tekken tourney's. There was no scene where I live either, but I'm building that shit up and going to my local tourneys. Check the internet man there's gotta be tournaments and players near you. Go on TZ forums and find them. In this day and age no one should have to go w/o decent offline match play. Especially when so many people are looking for each other ( good, skilled players) That is all

@Targie In Japan & Korea, online is very very close to offline. Different internet structure. In USA, it's a different story.

@jaysissmo oh please do not mistake my displeasure for ignorance. I must admit, I do sometimes jump online, I have like a 93% win ratio and when I lose it's to the people who know how to exploit the lag the best. I never play ANYTHING below 5 bars also

there's a divide for a reason. competitive (offline) players cannot in principle respect an online player simply because of the way online players go about getting wins. throws are untechable and "seeable" lows are impossible to react to online. i mean for god sake, there exists setups online in which you get players to try to whiff punish something and they're the ones that gets punished for trying to whiff punish (lol?)... because of that 1 or 2 second online delay. these aren't means to enda

Pure fucking shenanigans! Online is horrible as always and I couldn't give a fuck less if they improve it. Tekken is about the community and tournaments. Bring back record function and increase damage scaling on unblockables during TA, I'm fine after that.

Whoever talks about positive play for online is garbage. I get people all the time that are "godly" online, but when it comes to offline at the arcades, this is all I hear: "Something is wrong with the sticks. They feel weird," or, "The buttons feel wrong," or, "I can't use the shoulder buttons because there aren't any," or, "I don't get it, it always works online," or some other bogus bullshit. Online play is stupid and ruins your timing offline and you start getting ignorant.

My problem with him and people like him are that they think Tekken would be better off WITHOUT an online component which is just ridiculous. Because whether or not its as good as offline is irrelevant. An online mode is the most important factor of a console fighting game because it encourages replay value and incentive for people to get practice and get better, thus helping the community grow.
