Am so glad that Roger and Brian took the responsibility of being involved in this film. For some outsiders to come in and try to tell the story would have done a disservice to our beloved Freddie. It was a wonderful film, loved the "Live Aid" section, what a master piece.

I have been a Queen fan since I was a kid and got the opportunity to see them live 3 times with Freddie and once with Paul Rodgers. I just saw the movie and it is exactly how I thought Freddie was. What impressed me the most is how Rami brought the pain and loneliness that Freddie felt just by how he looked at Mary and finding out when he was betrayed. I was in the fan club, met John Deacon and my friend met Brian May a number of times and honestly, this movie really does justice to their relationship. I will need to see it again because, it took 'my breath away' to quote a Queen song. It also reinforced that we are more alike than we know!! Long live QUEEN! Rami deserve an Oscar for bringing Freddie to life, he truly was incredible.

Freddie may have been a good musician but Brian is a GREAT musician. It is not everyone who can sing, write songs and play any instrument they pick up. Queen is not just Freddie, though he grabbed all the attention. The group's talents as a whole are Queen.

You Do realize you just described Freddie to the nines right? Anyone who can sing (4 oct), write and play instruments they choose. Lol. Cmon even the bandmates know it was Freddie wild and crazy visions come to life. Yes they ALL are musical geniuses, but do NOT try to downplay Freddie because that is a battle you will lose and I'm sure the rest of the band agreed. Oh, that's right, they DID while they were right there and APPROVED OF THE MOVIE!

I saw the film and I enjoyed it very much. I was a bit skeptical of how true the real story was because I am used to Hollywood creating a lot of bull shit around the actual story, but I think that Brian May sort of reassures that the movie was close to the actual story.

Saw the film and yeah I could tell where this movie could have gone the R rating route, I’m glad they didn’t go that way although flip flopping the events were odd like the “We Will Rock” you portion and didn’t the band find out about Freddie’s diagnoses AFTER live Aid ??

Owen McCafferty yes it was well after Live Aid. Maybe as much as two years. They did it before Live Aid in the film as they wanted the movie to finish with that concert.

"it had to be not too indulgent" - it was not, when Mercury was asked to leave the room at the "reconciliation" scene.I'm sorry it was humiliating.I'd like to know Mercury's opinion on that scene.Maybe it was a great recompense for something we don't know.

Brian et Roger n'aimais pas Freddie et c'est pour ca qu'ils se sont séparés. Le nom et le logo de Queen c'étais Freddie Mercury la légende, le rock-star, depuis le décès de Freddie(1991)nommez-moi les succès du groupe depuis 28 ans. Aujourd'hui avec le chanteur amateur Adam Lambert Queen est devenu Drag-Queen. Le producteur du film a dit que c'est Marc Martel qui a repris la plupart des chansons de Freddie dans le film.

Have loved Queen all my life and have to say I didn't like the movie at all...I found it boring and felt roger and Brian had too much input into story as its just biased to what they want to portray . I was hoping for the real story not a censored version.

Damon Prince you sir, are an idiot. Of course Brian and roger had the most influence on the story, they were one of only 3 people in the world who lived it and are alive today. Who better to help tell the story. They could have gone a million directions that would have limited the audiences affection for it, so I think they covered all Freddie’s interesting/complicated sides, but didn’t get too deep. It entertained from the first scene, which I immediately remembered. This picture will get oscars and have big $$ sales. Awesome film... moved me in every emotion... and that is an incredible film, to make you laugh, cry, sing, remember! You are in the vast minority about this film, that’s for sure.

The movie is a work of FICTION. To portray Freddie as having been diagnosed hiv positive BEFORE Live Aid is bollocks. To portray that Roger Taylor and Brian May were against the wild parties is bollocks. Before he died Freddie gave them his permission to do what ever they liked, he said you can do whatever you like but don’t ever make me boring. As a lifelong fan of their music, I can say that they just did. They have let Freddie down quite badly.
