I've been a fan of all the music you cover for nearly all my 71 years now and have mostly been a fan of the great guitar players like Clapton and Stevie Ray but watching you has given me a new appreciation for the drums which honestly I'd never given as much thought to previously. So these old songs you play make it like listening to them again for the first time from a new angle and it's just wonderful. Also to see you smile when you play just thrills my hear to know you're experiencing as much joy as you are giving your listeners and fans. For all this and more I've become a supporting member and will be as long as I am able. Long live Rock and Roll and long live Sina!

You know why I luv ya Sina? Yes you have skill, yes you're bright, yes you're a nice person, yes you upload great quality videos, yes you're super cute :) but more than all those things, it's because you care and are genuine. You really do care for and respect the music you perform as a genuine musician. You care about the musicality and not just hitting the drums at the right moment like a machine. You approach the drums like a violinist or pianist and play from your heart and it really does show. I for one appreciate that so thank you Sina.

Yep, I totally agree.

Most people have no idea what a skilled drummer does. Going really fast and hard is for most great drumming. Sorry to disappoint you, but a skilled drummer is the one that puts himself in the service of the song itself. Drums have to respect the melody, to put it in the light, to help people better feel its depths. In a good song drumming is never about drumming. I think Sina knows this already, which is impressive for her age.
@garagemuso72kd57 жыл бұрын
Andrei Piatra you are so correct. I am a drummer and drum tutor with many years experience playing in bands. The drums are there to compliment the song not dominate the song. There are many many drummers that can do stuff that I will never be able to do but I don't really like their playing any more than mine because they end up taking away from the music itself. I get many compliments after gigs on my drumming but i don't do anything special, I just play what the song requires. It's something that comes with experience and the fact that Sina already does this makes her that much more of an exemplary drummer in my book. Well done Sina, you are a brightly shining star amongst the many out there.

You, on the other hand Miss Sina deserve lots of it because you did such a fantastic job on that song. When the song was released in 1975 it seemed ahead of it's time. It was a little strange then in the world of rock and roll because of the mixture of opera ,rock & roll, hard rock and some ballad on one song. I had never heard anything like it. I have several Queen songs that I love and Bohemian Rhapsody is one of them. Thank you for keeping that era of rock and roll alive with your great drum covers. I have to say, I've played all this channel's videos as a playlist on autoplay while I'm doing other things on the computer, and other than the drums being slightly accentuated over the rest of the music (which i actually prefer), i honestly couldnt tell i wasnt listening to the studio recordings from the actual artists! i never noticed any oddities, missing beats that i'm used to hearing, or any off-beats or mistakes. seriously, to me, they have all sounded just as good as the originals. i suspect this is due to a mix of raw talent and dedication to doing it right. very well done! i wish all the best :-)

After playing the drums for twenty years I finally learned to listen. That's the difference between a drummer and a tub thumper. Sina can already do that. (And she can break down richly produced drum parts, separating the effects and over-dubbing into the original drum lines probably played in the studio. A mature skill which I am now learning, by listening to her).

Brilliant Sina. I listened to another drum cover, then I listened to Roger Taylor's original isolated studio track, and then I listened to your cover. May I say, whereas the other drum cover was painful to listen to (I gave up half way through), yours was right on the money. Clearly, you listened very carefully to what Roger does on the track, especially his cymbal work and the tom tom fills. Well done you! I've played drums since being a teenager and Queen was my fav band, so I've drummed along to this track many times and I know it isn't an easy task to do it properly (and I was professionally and classically trained to a high level, so I know what I am talking about). Actually, playing the drum parts that seem "straight forward" and playing them well is what separates good drummers from bad, and playing the "simple" stuff reliably and competently is what sets good / great drummers apart. I have taught drums quite a bit and it's not the flashy stuff that aspiring drummers have problems with, it's the easy sounding stuff they often struggle with, basics like keeping in time and consistency with the beat. You have this in spades. So just ignore the critics and keep up the good work!

I believe the whole band would be honored how you played their song! You did it justice and I'm sure Roger Taylor would be proud! Great job!

I'm totally dumb struck.WOW. I have always been a Queen fan and Bohemian Rhapsody is one of my favorites. Your rendition is such a beautiful performance, into which you put your heart and soul, and your lovely smile. A worthy tribute to Freddie Mercury whom I and many others regard as the greatest and most charismatic rock artist of all time. The only artist to come anywhere near was Michael Jackson. The lyrics of this song are emotional in that, I have always felt that Freddie knew his fate. However Freddie could not have done it all alone, credit is also due to Roger Taylor, John Deacon and Brian May, whose amazing musical skills made it all possible.You have paid your respects to the Holy Grail of Rock.

Clay, with all due respect for Michael Jackson as an artist, please don't put him in the same category as Freddy Mercury or any rock Gods, like John Bonham, Keith Moon, Hendrix and many others. Michael Jackson was a truly great performer, in his own genre of music, pop & dance. A good analogy would be like trying to compare Jimmy Hendrix with Madonna, both great performers, but not even in the same stratosphere. Even Lady Gaga, as great as she is, would not be a fair comparison to Freddy. There was only ONE Freddy, done.
