Well, you could build one yourself if you wanted to- someone I know is making a 1/8 WW1 tank using parts she designed and ordered to be cut from metal/3d printed. I'll be making a 1/16 working Centurion model using a Pershing as a base at some point- I have a lot of other projects that need doing first though.

I purchased a 1/72 scale die cast Forces of Valour Stuka from Walmart about 7 years ago...it was only about 15 Canadian dollars back then. So prices have obviously gone up since. And, sadly, they are no longer sold at Walmart anymore. If you go to a hobby shop...of course they are much more expensive. Many different die cast kits are available at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada...but, as well, much more expensive, but then again the proceeds help to keep the museum going, so it's not a big deal.

since you're british i'm expecting to see a spitfire any day now! i like the tank model. interesting that they included the sandbag modifications. interesting story about those, i watched a documentary saying soldiers would mount those in desperation to their tanks in an effort to beef up the armor against german guns, but in reality all it did was slow the tank down. apparently the generals and commanders advised against it but troops did it anyways.

Easy to tell that it's not an M4A3, but a standard M4 production model. The driver and bow gunners positions are those of the M4, as the M4A3 had the same single piece upper glacis plate with rotatable periscopes as the M4A2 models.

The 1:16 looks great, 1:32 doesn't have he fancy details inside the turret. I tend to get my FoV stuff NIB from eBay, I suppose it not any less of risk but I've had pretty good luck so far. Just ordered a HMARS launcher and hopefully an M60A1 RISE is next. They make this exact Sherman is 1:32 as well, so I may have to look into that and the 1:32 Firefly, since I only have the regular Sherman model at the moment.

Jingles if you don't mind a photography suggestion - if you buy a sheet of white bristol board or that stuff that is paper bonded to a stiff foam core (I think it's the poetically named Fome-Cor in NA) and suspend/hang/whatever it on the indoor side of your table, it will bounce window light back and even out the lighting on your subject.
@montywh11 жыл бұрын
looking at that model actually gave me an idea for something we could add in World of Tanks. similar to the camo net and binoculars, have those sandbags as an equipment we can purchase, and it would increase frontal armor when the tank is sitting still for a time to go into effect

Does the underneath the hull emergency escape hatch open also or even have one?the m2 may be old but it's a great spitting out 600rpm since ww1 and is the second oldest still in active (non?)standard service weapon with the US armed forces with the m1911 colt being the first oldest also coincidently by Browning also(seems like his designs stand the test of time greatly)

I always go to HK for my airsoft accessories and parts Jingles. I never go via Amazon these days, firstly because of the restrictions but mainly because delivery from Amazon shops can be so hit and miss! Example i'm still waiting for two books from the US that I ordered mid December last year (needless to say there's a claim for them) but this is the sort of thing I usually get via Amazon.

Hey Jingles, not sure if you just messed up or I'm just stupid, But I think the scale of that model is 1:32. I could only find a model of that scale by Forces of Valor on Amazon, and it looked exactly the same, and the model would be around 1.2 feet. I guess I couldn't really get that kind of scale from the video. Thanks

Pedantry re: the Mossie model at the end there - the base is wrong, there was a B Mk.IV, which was the commonly used bomber variant with a glazed nose and no guns. That one's an FB.VI fighter bomber, with the solid nose of 4 .303s and 4 20mm Hispanos. And the camo isn't quite right, either...
