My home renovation has been on my mind for a while now (since we bought it last year) and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to show you what a REAL, GENUINE home renovation is actually like. This is NOT a produced show like you see on TV!! Throughout #BOHNAFIDE you will get to see my team at House of Bohn design the space and teach you about the design process, show you real costs and budgets and see finally see the results!! This is so exciting! And it's wonderful to actually see the whole design process instead of the usual superficial approach of the "before & after" magazines and tv shows share. Most people still see interior design as "fluff" and have no idea of all the work necessary to complete a project. This was a great idea! And by the way, I have been watching all your videos and it's really inspiring to see the reality of the job without any sugar coating. You could use the third bedroom as a closet and when you move out just sell it as an additional bedroom that would up the price of the property

Karin, if I may ask, I am a design enthusiast and might be considering a change in career path from what I formerly chose. Because 4 years in an interior design course, is time/money I may not have at the moment, is there any chance, by a longshot, I'd be able to do a decorator program and find my way through that avenue? As a completely passionate and motivated person, I feel I could excel regardless of the bachelor program background, and I have already done 4 years in a performing arts degree which unfortunately due to health issues, I can no longer pursue. Also I can't keep a pencil down from sketching designs, or walking into an empty room and wanting to fill it with structure, love and a fresh coat of paint. I know this isn't the place for complete career advice, however, do you have any suggestions for those out there, hoping this career change might be possible?

Uh, the woman is an interior designer. The people who watch this channel are people who are interested in interior design, students or people who are interested in business. You can go to channels where they show you before and after if you want but this is a channel for people who are serious about the process and business of design.

You are extremely talented and very lovely, but i find it hard to watch your channel because of your voice cadence. Every statement you make sounds like a question, because of your inflection. If I could give constructive critique, you would come off much more assertive if you somehow could work on doing that less. Please know I am not meaning to be nit picky at all. I think women do this a lot in attempts to appear more appeasing and less threatening, but it usually ends of making your words sing-songy and less commanding. Just an observation🙂
