The frozen peppers have lots of water in, and the green ones are frost damaged, adding more water from the ice on them. They are swimming in water. All the extra water , makes them slimy. You are best to use fresh peppers as they only take a quick stir fry. It shouldn't be in the pan for any more than 2 minutes

Bell pepper doesn't go in fried rice at all.
@chilledoutbob5 ай бұрын
@@ProlIy Bell peppers and rice is a great combo. I swear, you yanks don't seem to have any idea about cooking its quit comical. What kay cooked is tasty, she doesn't quite get correctly how to cook the ingredients she's bought but they all work together.
@chilledoutbob5 ай бұрын
If stirfrying the peppers then yes afew minutes in a nice hot wok. For dishes like this with the sauce it doesn't matter so much, the peppers will add flavour and there will be some bite to them (but using a fresh pepper would have been nicer).
@CaptainPupu5 ай бұрын
That's actually incorrect. Peppers, frozen or fresh have a ton of water and release water. The time it takes to cook fresh peppers cut into finger size is more than 2 minutes, if you want to sweat that water out. On the other hand, fried rice doesn't have such peppers in. What she made here is what in Hungary we call "Riced meat". Just some meat and rice in a sauce. What you should be more worried about is the fact that the chicken wasn't cooked properly. You can see it's still pink when she already dumps the sauce on .

Hi Kay. Me and my brother are big fans of your videos. I have a recipe for you that you might like 🙂 - Cheesy pepperoni and tomato chicken. Ingredients: - 2 chicken breast portions - 40g (or more if you like 😊) cheddar cheese - 1tsp dried basil - 2 garlic cloves - 160g cherry tomatoes - 30g sliced pepperoni - 32g tomato paste -75ml boiled water - a pinch of salt, pepper and sugar - olive oil 1. Preheat the oven to 220/200 fan 2. Chop tomatoes into quarters 3. Peel and finely chop your garlic 4. Dissolve your tomato paste, dried basil and chopped garlic in 75ml of boiled water to create your tomato stock 5. Add the cherry tomatoes to an oven proof dish with your tomato stock. 6. Season with salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar and mix everything up. This is your tomato sauce. 7. Add the raw chicken breasts on top of your tomato sauce and drizzle the chicken breasts with olive oil. 8. Season with salt and pepper and put the dish in the oven for an initial 12 mins. 9. Grate your cheese. 10. Chop your pepperoni finely. 11. Once the chicken has been cooking for 12 mins, top the chicken with the grated cheese and chopped pepperoni. 12. Return the dish to the oven for another 15 mins or until the chicken is cooked through and then its ready to serve.

Don't know if I'd call it a fried rice, but it seems like a nice mild curry, and there's nothing wrong with a nice chicken curry. Turmeric is the spice best known for making classic curry powder yellow and making it smell like curry. It's supposed to be good for your digestion but it gives me a sour stomach if I have too much.

Hot tip Kay I learnt recently! When you are seasoning food, don’t pour it directly over the hot steamy pan from the glass container it comes in because your seasoning may go clumpy in the bottle. I tend to take the lid off, pour some into the lid so I can also control the amount I put in, and then use that! Saves me from clumped up seasoning

Definitely thaw and drain frozen vegetables unless you want them very wet and mushy. Then you can properly sauté them with the onions, but you want to sauté on low heat for 20 minutes. If you choose to add garlic, just remember that garlic burns very easily, so the last 5 minutes is a good time to add garlic and a little goes a long way. Rice is best made in a rice cooker for fried rice and you want to make it the day before and put it in the refrigerator overnight, bring it out and break it apart just before you start cooking. You need a lot more oil/fat (you can use any fat, lard, bacon grease, vegetable oils) to get any crispiness on the rice, but not too much. It takes practice, which is what you're getting, but there are a LOT of people sabotaging you in the comments! Stop sabotaging Kay! She doesn't know what she's doing and lying to her that she's making food properly is not helping her learn, but that's that what some of you want is it? You prefer to mock, ridicule and laugh at her. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
